Chicago/Calgary game got rough and wild near the end.
If you can't beat'em on the score sheet, beat'em in the FACE!

Obviously very happy to open the season with a win. Would have liked to get points from other than the second line, but PP put one in, PK unit was perfect, wracked up a lot of hits, and had great ice-time distribution. Next up a young, eager team in Anaheim, looking to keep it rolling!

Good start to the season with a 4-3 win over a good team. We're already facing a big rival today, Edmonton. It'll be nice to see how my team does against teams considered elite. I don't have high hopes haha.

I am playing 4 lines and I need to play 5 and 4 sets of defense. I mean, it seems all my 90 du guys go down. This is going to be a long season with alot of injuries, which means I will have to just play all my farm guys with DI 25 to 38, so watch out if you are playing my team in fure becaue after only 2 games, I had 3 guys go down with regular minutes and now after OT, I got 5 or 6.
This is only 2 games in, how is that possible?
Farm team will get a lot of play this year! So enjoy!

As the settings are based on 100 DU, a forward with 100 DU can play 23 minutes before losing 1 CON point, 25 minutes 2 CON points, 28 minutes 3 CON points. For defenseman (base on 100 DU), 25 minutes lose 1 CON point, 27 minutes 2 CON points, 30 minutes 3 CON points. Players rejuvenate 1 CON point per day, on the farm 2 CON points per day. Based on the numbers above you have to do the math to calculate how many minutes your guys can play per game based on their DU.

I get a two day rest and then face the high scoring Flyers! Winner of two shootouts already, happy for start but feel there will be much pain this season, as we try to rebuild and still be competitive! But I am not looking forward to playing three or four games in row...... Philly, then Wash and finally Nash, we should be in fine shape by that game!

Just cause a guy is 98 or 99 doesn't mean he is hurt, or that he isn't capable of playing. It just means he is a bit tired out.
I think this compressed season is gonna be hard on everyone though, not enough rest between games.

We could not be more pleased with our 5-0 start! Very much looking forward to our next 3 games to see how we really stack up. Vokoun earning every penny of his salary. Rumor has it a big winger could be on his way to Detroit, stay tuned.....

One more day's rest, and our 2nd rd. of 3 games in 3 days will begin with a visit from the Leafs, just before we hit the road with stops in Jersey and NY againest a much improved Rangers team.
Still experimenting to find a winning formula, considering our schedule 2-2 not bad at this point. We'll be rolling 4 lines til we get a break in the schedule, so as to help avoid any injury problems.

Good game against one of the East's best teams. My farm team peppered 71 shots on his poor tender though for the lost.....pretty sick

Timmy Thomas shuts the door on Edmonton and Filppula nets 3. What a game!
Hawks look solid early to accomplish their goal of making the Playoffs this season.

Great game today outshooting the Kings 50-15. My two big pairings Parise and Staal, and Arnott and Heatley seem to have some chemistry. Hopefully they keep it up.
