Yikes. Always good to give up the game winner with 1 second left in regulation on home ice. This isn’t going as well as I imagined after game 1.

Yikes. Always good to give up the game winner with 1 second left in regulation on home ice. This isn’t going as well as I imagined after game 1. That's nuts! I didn't even notice that it was Wheeler with one second left on the clock!! This series is soooooo much closer than 3-1 in games. I know I've come back in at least a few series from 3-1 down, so know it can be done. I know the crazy roster Eug has assembled. There is much hockey to be done...

Another wild affair. Pretty sure I’ve been outplayed in all 5 games, this one was no different. Let’s see if I can finally win a game at home in this series and take it to 7.

While not quite as late to the party as Wheeler's GWG with 1 second left in Game 5, your Swede Army Knife Soderberg has a flare for the dramatic as well scoring the game 6 GWG with just 7 seconds in yet another 5-4 score. At least a good time for Kuemper (who I ironically owned and traded in the offseason) to get the extra rest day. On a weird note, I noticed: - Toews: 2 G, 1 A in NHL today; 1G, 2A in the J today - Slavin scores a goal in both the J and NHL today (first shot taken in "return to play" no less) More hockey to do...

Game 7 it is, Eug!
Momentum swung back T-dot's way, the centre of the universe ; )
Lackluster effort by the Flames in this one after jumping out to 1-nil lead.
Not stressful at all...lol

Congrats to Chris amd the Flames for winning another Cup...
Well plaid series, and both team tried to make it longer by going to OT for the final game; could have gone either side, and that is what makes it fun
Both GMs made the finals an interesting one.

Just in case my heart hasn't had enough excitement, let's make it a game 7 OT loss! As the saying goes if it was gonna be anyone, I'm glad it was you Chris. You are now officially the Kobe Bryant of JGHL with 5 friggin titles. But forget the other 4 for a second - to go through Sharks in 7, Canucks in 7, Preds in 7, finishing off with the Leafs in 7.. You deserve it my friend. Well freaking done.
I now have a 1-3 finals record, which sort of makes me early career Lebron of JGHL right? What's next for the Leafs, who knows. I should probably rebuild. This was a very fun season and if it was up to me I'd run it back. But it is looking more like this core's window is closing. Guess we'll see if rerates say otherwise.
Big thanks as always to Jon, Gavin, Jake, Ray, for keeping the wheels turnin'. I'm sure its been a complicated year for all, and the league has consistently been a blessing for me personally. Here's to everyone having a smooth back 9 of this crazy year, and hey I'm looking forward to the offseason whenever we kick it back into gear. For now I can use a nice long break from the GM Editor.

Awesome finals series, Eug forces a game 7, and that wasn't even enough to decide a winner, they needed OT! Big congrats to Chris, can't deny this man is putting up one of the best teams year in and year out, and I don't expect that to change at all in the future.
Looking forward to the offseason gents!

Wow game 7 OT, what a way to cap off what seemed like a pretty great series. The NHL would be lucky to get a finals with so much drama in it.
Congrats to Chris on another win and congrats to Eug for making it such a close, razor thin series.

Impressive playoffs Chris! Has any team in our league had to play 28 games (four 7 game series) to win the cup? Flames took down my own Sharks, the Canucks, Preds and Leafs on their way to this win... he beat the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th overall teams! It is hard to imagine a more difficult path to the cup.

Holy f*ck - the most stressed I think I've ever been!
Congrats on one helluva season Eug. I thought Gio was going to push you over the top to be honest!
That 7th game was insane and what a finish to the season!
Off to the mountanis biking, so more later, but this was yet another absolutely amazing season - think I said this for last time I won, but this is officially that hardest Cup win yet, as Jake summed up so nicely.
Thanks fellas! Cheers
