Didn't particularly want to play Nashville and his Iginla-Lecavalier pairing! But bring it on! Lidstrom set the new JGHL record for points by a defenseman at 82

If Darren actually mans his team I could be in line for an early exit Congrats, it took several seasons to do so!

We've known for awhile we would end up with Monty, and if we had to pick a top 4 team to play in the 1st Rd, I would have preferred Buff or Monty, because we play our best againest both and our worst againest Car or Pitts. Mont and Philly a good defensive matchup, but we will need to stop a high powered O and stop OV, to have any hope. Monty is a smart GM and with their win over Car, deserve the 4th seed and home ice. Gabby vs OV xfactor for Philly could be Morrow, if we can stop Datsyuk. Good Luck Monty!! And to all in the Playoffs. We have our bags packed for Montreal and we will show up with our game faces game ready

I'm not too thrilled with the prospect of having to face Nabokov in the first round...three of the four Blues-Stars games this year were decided by one goal and the Stars won two of those by 2-1 scores. This is a rivalry series though!

lol... WOOOOO!!!!.... yes its definitely been a while Ray. Eug, you're a good man... I've known you for a number of years... great hockey guy, and I'm sure you'll build those leafs much to your liking.
Speech?... well, Yeah.. this season, I really looked at our lineup and thought that this would be a competitive year for us. We dropped off for a bit, and I really didnt wanna miss the playoffs for a fifth consecutive year. When we started to slip from being a competitive team, i had to make a few deals...even if it was giving up some youth, but since Brad Boyes has joined this team, we've been dangerous.
A few GM's have noted to me, why JUST make the playoffs? what good is it just to maket he playoffs? Well, the answer for me is simple. I'm a competitior. I hate losing, period. And seeing the playoffs come and go for the past four years as a spectator and writing playoff previews when it has no affect on me, is depressing. Since i signed on here in JGHL.. ive taken the challenge to create a winning franchise, and now I feel I have a young core to at least build on in order to instill winning seasons.
Honestly.. its not fun losing. When you have to rebuild a franchise to where the Florida Panthers were, its a challenge... but today feels good. Yes, we made it by the skin of our teeth, but thats the beauty of the playoffs....none of that matters. The only relevance that the 8th seed has for me, is that if this series goes to 7, we go back to Pittsburgh. THats it. This is the season that matters, anything can happen and we're gonna be prepared for the Penguins firepower.
Heres to making the playoffs and best luck to everyone in the 2009 JGHL Stanley Cup Playoffs!!

Regular season wrap up:
This has been quite the regular season for the Canadiens. We figured we would be right at the top from the very beggining, but midway through the season found ourselves scraping the bottom of the playoff pile. A mega deal was in order, and a mega deal was conssumated, bringing in glue guy Shane Doan, and an upcoming lottery pick.
Doan turned our sour locker room around, and since the deadline the team has been performing much closer to the level expected. We will give the home fans home ice advantage for at least one round, and hopfully more, after securing the 4th seed in a tough east.
Incedentally, with two impressive wins (one over me (WITH FULL LINES)) NYR secured MTL with at least the 2nd overall pick, and even then, thats only if we get fucked. TAVARES BABY!
Best of luck to all involved in the playoffs, I wish all of you the best.... until you face me.

Even if I'm very happy with my lines? No thanks.
