With the trade deadline only hours away, don't expect to see the Avalanche make anymore moves. We could not be more pleased with how trading has gone for us this deadline week, and are very excited to make a strong run at the championship. We physically only lost two players from our roster in Kozlov and Rinne, but gained so much more to solidify our team and chances. Out: Kozlov, Rinne In: Pominville - fantastic all-around attributes (82PA, 74SC, 75DF) Dumont - great passing and scoring (79PA, 75SC) Forsberg - 80PA Malik - 71CK/77DF Eaton - 74DF Each acquired player brings something special to the table, and we're excited to try and utilize all our weapons to form a well rounded balance. Projected line combos... Line 1: Forsberg - Sakic - Alfredsson Zubov - Jovo Line 2: Dumont - Hecht - Pominville (line has already been clicking great!) Streit - Malik Line 3: Sykora - Belanger - Gionta Martinek - R. Jones Extra D: Klee (75DF) Eaton (74DF) Extra F: Dowell (78DF) We feel every line has a great combination of offensive and defensive ability, and we can't wait to see how far we can go. As unfortunately it might be a long time before we get another chance!

Dumont - 79PA, 75SC Pominville - 82PA, 74SC, 75DF Hecht - 74PA, 72SC, 76DF And while most 3rd lines are made up of players with decent DF ratings and not much offensive ability (besides Calgary) I really like having Gionta and Sykora down there. I guess we shall see.......

I think thats one of the best 2nd and 3rd lines in the league. The first line is very good too. It will be interesting to see how Forsberg does.
I really think Forsberg should have been rated higher, he had 14 points in 10 or 11 games last season.
