Wow, what a fucking hypocrite! Seriously Eug, I can't tell you how many times you guys accused me of "tanking", or questioned my "integrity" when trying to make trades! Don't you think you could have been just a little more subtle instead of scratching Richards, Stastny, AND Cam Ward (#1 is SV%, #2 in GAA)!!! Not to mention you also put your offense and defense strategy sliders to zero! Obviously you're not resting them as they're all at 100CD!
You seriously showed your true colors on this one, and how anyone could EVER take anything you say into consideration ever again, is completely beyond me! In my opinion any credibility you had just went out the window!
I'm sure Jon will be thrilled over this as well, after competing all season and trying to win the division, now the team he's fighting against basically gets a free win instead of actually earning it. Dallas gets to play against Conklin instead of Ward, and minus two of your star players, what a guy!.
And Pitt/Buff have been battling it out for the #1 seed in the East, so I'm sure Pitt really appreciates you giving a free win to Buffalo as well! You're a real class act buddy, such a stand-up guy, way to go!

He's tryin to help NJ or Fla. take a spot he doesn't want or feel he deserves. In his mind it is the right thing to do. So you can't fault him for that possible mind set. JMO. Jon plays Vancouver's back-up goalie, and clinches 2nd with a win, no matter what Dallas and Toronto do. That game between Toronto and Dallas could be huge for many teams, problably Toronto should try to make that game interesting and give it his all, if Fla and NJ lose and the Aves win that game will be meaningless.

I don't think you'd feel the same way if you were fighting for position, and the team you're competing with gets to play Toronto after he pulled his best players! I'm sure Jon and Rob are thrilled! Eugene is soooooo righteous about the "integrity" of the league, but this is ok? If Jon loses to Vancouver or gets an OT/SO loss, then Dallas will win the division if he beats Toronto. If that was you, would you want to see Dallas playing Toronto with their best players on the bench? And while Pitt does control their own destiny, their remaining games are against NJ/Nashville, while Buffalo just got a free win today. I'm quite sure Pitt would have rather seen Buffalo play Toronto with their best players!

Well if that game becomes the huge game that it could, then by all means Eug should put his best effort in, so as not to just hand it over, since it COULD affect 4 teams. I've always thought it best to do the right thing during crunch time, and think of how many teams your decisions possibly affect.
Others in the past start resting goalies etc. once they clinch, that always seems to happen in the real world as well, and I've never been a fan of it, although it makes sense, and at times a sratagey, for the playoffs.

He's just a big fucking contradiction.

Jon plays Vancouver's back-up goalie. I actually planned to auto their roster and lines before our game. I don't want a cheap win to clinch the division, and I don't really think it's fair to Eddie.

I dont think playing conklin is terrible, but i sad to him myself that scratching stasny and richards is too far. Even if he put them on lower lines I wouldnt really care, but i dont think scratching stars is cool.

no comment.
but in all seriousness, i saw 4 teams creeping up on me, and decided to throw the game against buffalo to give those teams a chance to catch up, and MAYBE not squeeze into the playoffs dressed as thanksgiving dinner for the #1/#2 seed. i've already spoken to Jon and assured him i will dress everyone for the final game against dallas (which matters for certain western teams). the game against buffalo meant nothing for anyone except me, so calm yourself detroit, (the guy's never gonna let it go btw lol).
PS. if you really care to know, Paul, Brad, and Cam are really good friends and went out for Allstar Wings in Richmond Hill the night before the Buffalo game, and all woke up with shit stains in their boxers. for fear it might be swine flu, i decided not to dress them for the game. it ended up being only stomach flu for which they took antibiotics and are good to go for the final game in good ol Texas. on a sidenote, all three players have already made a reservation for the night after the final game at the Big Texan, and will try to eat the 70oz steak meal, a popular challenge in the state.

I would like one other thing cleared up Eug....Why did you sit a healthly Ward every time he was ahead of Nabby for the SV% lead lately?
