Didn't want to post during my winning streak, but it came to an end today against Detriot. 10 straight wins I believe is a record for my team. We played a good 2 periods, and it looked like we may extend the streak at the end of the second, but a third period/4 GA implosion sealed the deal to end the streak. Goaltending was a big difference, but Turco (and my D as a whole) has played very well since we have acquired him.
I think Montreal has a league record right now at 12 wins. Anyone know?
The 10 game streak gave me a new confidence in my team. Hopefully we will make a decent run this year. I wouldn't expect any major changes, although rumor has it Kuba may be moved soon.

I sure as hell didn't stop the Habs streak, that's the most goals we've given up in one game, all season, as Monty hamered my 2nd line, and kept them in check. I need to work on my DF rating on my 2nd line, been a weak spot of late.

Thornton has been a major major disappointment so far.. Definitely not what i gave up half my future for. Wardo has been struggling big time as well. Expecting more from Gabby than what i got so far (maybe you knew something i didn't Ray ). Basically the entire 1st line has been sub par, and severely outplayed by the 2nd line AND especially my 3rd! How can you be unhappy with 24pts in 26 games, especially from a player with a 59DU? I think most people would be quite content with those numbers. Even Thornton is getting you a point per game. Granted Thornton has never done anything spectacular in any season here, but I don't see how you can consider those stats "major disappointments". I'd be glad to take either player off your hands if you'd like

I think Montreal has a league record right now at 12 wins. Anyone know You were right Jake, I decided to go look it up. 11 was the old record, set in season 2 by Buff. The closest anyone came, was my 10 gm win streak in season 5. So every game Monty wins is a record at this point.

I'd be glad to take either player off your hands if you'd like I wrote that last week, after a loss to the Rangers. Since then, i'm on a 3 game winning streak and got 2 multi point games from Joe, Z, and Gabby. I do expect more from those guys based on their ratings. 30 games should be enough for a line to gel, and 59DU or not, i'm not exactly overplaying him so with 90SC i'm expecting more than 11 goals in 26 games Hopefully these last few multi point games are a sign of things to come from now til the end of the season. The East race sure is ridiculous so i'll need the best i can get out of that line, otherwise what's the point lol.

I know it's the luck of the draw, but without a doubt the worst schedule in the league. For the 5th time this season we will play 4 gms in 5 days and lead the league in games played.

OT loss to Carolina where Cullen winns a fight and I lose Staal and Duncan for PP and lose in OT, but Cullen winning fight! Unbelievable! Then SO loss TB TB, probably was a good point considering I had tired guys and did not realize I played today. Oh well a point is good! Young team is overachieving but happy they play hard every game!

I'd be glad to take either player off your hands if you'd like Theres something about Thornton that just seems to make him unable to truely excel in the sim (as in 90 + point seasons like he is capable of in the NHL). Maybe no one has given him the right line mates yet, but still, while he was on my team he played with some great wingers: Glen Murray, Teemu Selanne, Paul Kariya, Patrick Elias, Alex Tanguay, Brendan Shanahan, Bill Guerin, and Cory Stillman. All of those players were above 80 OV when they played with Thornton. Selanne was 84 OV. Congrats to Montreal, this is an amazing record/streak. Its hard to see another team matching this streak any time soon.

I have conducted research and have found that for the first time in the history of the JGHL, we have a matchup of two teams that are also playing in the NHL on the same day. Edmonton and Calgary. Battle of Alberta. Regarding the NHL matchup, my research has found that at 21 games, tomorrow's contest will set a record for the longest combined winless streak between opponents. Amazing notes regarding January 30.
