Hey guys, I think Jon has been pretty patient but that may not last much longer as he works really hard at this league along with Gavin, at the very least you ALL can turn in lines, show on board maybe posted once in awhile ( not just show up to be smart ass) but add something to league.
I mean really, it is the same guys who post, who do what they need to do, but not everyone. The league is made up of 26 so 26 should put in just a little time.
Hell, I just wanted to rant so too bad if it affected you because if it did then I am guessing I am talking about you! LOLOLOL
Just playing! but Jon does work hard, the least you all can do is support your team and league for all he does.

Good advice from DA Coach, I suggest you guys take it. You hear guys say all the time, they quit leagues cause of a lack of people showin up. We have a few, around 4-8 most of the time, if you never log in you lose your creditability, and when you want to make blockbuster trades they are rejected more times than not. If you don't ever show up, it doesn't take a genius to see you never vote, or ansewer pm's you may have.

I for one... have not been participating as much as I have historically, and i do owe the league an apology for that... I've been completely swamped at work in catching up and turning things around.. but I am good to go now... I have still been monitoring my team, but just have not shown up on the boards quite a bit, not to mention that i was out of town for four days... which i had notified Jon of.. but didnt have a chance to come onto the MSG board and post. Sorry boys..

I think it's the same old story. We have a few teams that have the tenure and have chipped in with minimal activity, yet are not overall involved in the spirit of the league. We can't start canning people for not posting, but a little more involvement from some long time GMs wouldn't hurt. I'm sure I don't need to name names for you guys to know who I'm talking about.

Yeah please , the least you can do is stop by the boards and say hello. Or post about your game that day....takes 5 seconds....is that too much to ask?

Agreed Rob. What many fail or choose not to realize is that this league is a community of it's own kind. We're all in difference places all over the map but this league connects us. Some people get it, and appreciate it, others take it for granted.
For example I have got to know some great people that I would never otherwise know about. Ron and I never met, but we always take time to shoot the shit, talk trades for the fun of it, and even get off hockey and talk about our lives. Ray, always a pleasure talking to you as well my friend. You guys along with the other usual suspects on this board are what makes this league a community.
Of course, there's no community without a mayor, or leadership, and for that we have Jon and Gavin to thank. You guys are the heart of this league. You keep it alive, and understandably want more out of it over time. For that to happen we're definitely gonna need certain people to contribute to the community, and not just to the maintenance of their respective teams.
Much can be said about my feud with Adam a while back, but it did more good for the league than harm. Controversy and differences of opinion brings out passion and lights a fire. Sure we could all sit back on our teams and pretend like we don't exist to each other but what's the fun in that? Just my 2 cents.. Again, not calling anyone out or even focusing on anyone in particular, but there's no denying that we got a few ghosts around here. The question becomes, who we gonna call?

This league is successful for 2 reason's, we are lucky enough to have a guy like Jon, and lucky enough to have about 20 GM'S with 2-7 years under their belt, and that is the secret to success and a good time, to be had for all. We've gotten to know each other enough to make it all very interesting when it comes to trades- trade talks- line-ups- developing friendships etc. You don't have to have the best team in the league to make yourself interesting and not just a body to get 2 pts. from, as proven by the new Duck's GM. I think the new software also a great advancement, once you catch on, that slider also adds alot of spice for sure. Glad to see 4 lines the wave of our future, with my schedule, if I went to 3 lines, everybody would be around 96 by now LOL as we play game 56 today. Jon also has the right idea to get your attention, to pay attention, and sending lines in once a week, helps somewhat, (it's been a prob for years). That week goes fast, so get it done guys.
