The activity in this league sucks of late, the only way to really thank the staff especially Jon for all the hard work he puts in making it what it is. Is to show some respect, and show up, stay awhile[if you can] and say something. Even if it's just a fuck you, Philly LOL If you guys don't pick it up some, this league may not see another season. Take my word for it guys, and save the league. Just wanted to bump this to 2nd page.

If you guys don't pick it up some, this league may not see another season. Take my word for it guys, save the league. Is that inside info? It doesn't take a Rocket scientist to figure out that the Staff is losing interest, do to a lack of particapation by the leagues members. I see Jon log in many times and sit by himself or with just Minny and I. What Monty and Sharky said is true to some extent, but that doesn't make it a good practice. The Staff has tried to tell you guys for years, but it seems to fall on deaf ears. Just like the Allstar Game that takes so much work and gets so little notice. The season started out like gang busters but the last month has really sucked. The Staff is gettin tired of hearing and seeing the same 5 or 6 dudes. It's up to you guys, this league is not a given, show the man you care and this league will go on forever or die if you don't. If you guys think you'll find a better league or better staff somewhere else - your mistaken. The new Buffalo quit also looks like the new Wash did same, I never see Columbus although he does run his team. Why do we have such a problem with new GM'S?? When people QUIT and say it's due to personal problems, I don't buy it, it is the lamest and oldest excuse there is. People quit jobs with that same excuse.

People quit jobs with that same excuse. what we need is a blockbuster trade that borders on insanity to get more activity. But I have been in a few leagues and even with the lack of activity on the boards as long as GMs are making sure there lines are in then that is awesome. The Sims are done like clockwork around here and that is great. The off season went well and that was nice too. Sure I would love too see more activity but I have been in more active leagues then this that are not even close to as good. I just quit a league last month because it was not as fun because it was not real well run. But the message board was more active. This is easily the 2nd best league I have ever been part off and saying second best is at all no slight to this league. As long as lines are coming in like clockwork then the activity will come in bunches we will have our highs and our lows, lines are most important. The league is so well run, that it would not make sense to close shop. Maybe get a few fresh faces that are dedicated and active to liven things up.

Where is Nashville to cause random insanity when you need him?

I agree with Minny...right now its send in lines, watch games, complain about team. There's just not too much going on to get everyone talking on the message boards. It was kind of the reason for my "which conference is better" post. I really don't know many other ways to get activity on the boards. But I also agree that the league is fine if everyone is tending to their teams.

Where is Nashville to cause random insanity when you need him? Darren is out of town til Thur. I'm sure he'll make us laugh when he returns. I've seen an improvement already, since we started this talk. Including the Staff, I've seen 12 GM'S log in and some actually talked and stayed awhile. Keep it up guys. We still need more to show up when games are run, etc. Somebody besides Minny, NJ, Canes and myself.

You have to remember that games are normally run around 2-3pm. Some of us are still at work and can't log in or are at work, doing other things, and don't log in til later (normally why I'm not on at 2pm). Some of us just can't be as hardcore as you Philly lol

Hardly anyone at all shows up for the Sat. night game etc..

Well then I think it is time to implement a drug testing policy for all involved in JGHL, but mostly all GMs should submit samples to see what drugs they are taking which keeps them fuk up all weekend! though i do agree with you that it has been pretty dry since offseason, lets not let a few bad apples spoil the bunch (is that even how it goes?).. i think we got a great core of gms, some are very social, some arent (im not as much a chatterbox as some others), but as long as that core stays interested, i think we'll be alright. as for washington and other completely inactive gms, were gonna have to keep replacing them until we run into solid dedicated people. I don't feel that there is a bad apple in the group whatsoever. Maybe some lazy and complacent Gm's though. Jon and Gavin improve things for us every season, the purpose being to make this the best league it can be. Believe it or not my motivation to rebuild was inspired by Adam[Detroit], he bought up some good points about being complacent. I shot my wad last season , came close, but no cigar. So what's the smart thing to do, sign a shit load of UFA'S with high OV'S, and be happy just to make the playoffs RIGHT? Of coarse the right thing to do is re-build so as to try to win a cup and compete with Gm's like Calg.- Colo - Chi etc.. Calg. got where he is by hard work and wise choices. Jon 2 cups in 4 yrs. That's where I want to be. Detroit pointed out some of my awful prospects, again he was right. when I joined the league I didn't have a clue and my mind set was high OV'S age not a factor picks prospect who cares, just as long as I can make the playoffs. Jon and Gavin are not looking for Pats on the back, the only why to thank these guys is, to show-up, and contribute, logging in once every 3 days doesn't get it here, [unless you are on vacation or out of town on business] that's the way to make them happy and motivate them to continue making it interesting and the best it can be. This is about having a good time, I assure you Jon and Gavin feel good when you guys are enjoying yourself. Sure there are short tempers some arguments all do mostly to frustration and misunderstandings, but since the 1st 2 seasons that has changed big time, due to some of the friendships that have developed over the years, I never carry a grudge and hopefully no one else does. There has been a marked improvement the last few day's you guys are great please keep it up- I don't ever want to see Jon ever sit here alone, that pisses me off big time. Even I was starting to lose some interest, for a few reasons.
