Got sick of hearing about the "kids" Eberle, Hall and MP every couple minutes tonight, especially when they didn't do anything.
Hall is going to be the best of the three. He just needs to get stronger, he gets tossed around a lot right now (even by Ian White). He goes after the puck hard, like Forsberg did. He just doesn't have the strength right now to do it effectivly. I think Forsberg could be a good comparison for him, hopefully not though.
Eberle and MP did not have a good game tonight. Eberle touched the puck once. If he turns out, he's going to be a streaky player, so far he just doesn't seem to get involved every game. MP made two good passes, not much other than that.
Hemsky and Gagner played well. Hemsky started off pretty bad though, he was a lazy player for the first half.
Btw... maybe by more level headed Oiler fans was Cogliano touted as a third liner... but I've definatly heard a lot of fans putting big expectations on him, more than he was capable of.
Terrible broadcast by Sportsnet tonight though. Poor resolution, they messed up their signal during a goal and did not replay it, called Macintyre "Smackentyre" and "the Mac Attack", gave Reddox third star in a 5-1 game in which he did not score a point. I could go on for a while.
For the Flames, Brodie, Backlund, Iginla, Pardy, Tanguay, Hagman, Meyers, Regehr, and Kotalik (cut short) all had very good games. Bouwmeester and White made some very poor offensive plays. Staios was terrible. Iginla was especially good.
