This is annoying, I switch to a more defensive setup and still allowing a ton of shots against, including 24 shots in the 3rd period today against Dallas (which is a very disappointing loss). This suspension for doing nothing to one of my defenseman is gonna cost me 2 games. Well, there are a couple of things you can look at..... Chicago Coach DF Rating: 86 Dallas Coach OF Rating: 99 Chicago Strategy Slider: 1-2-2 Dallas Strategy Slider: 1-2-2 Possibly "cancel" each other out to some respect Other than Greene who was only a -1, and Hamhuis (2nd best DF) being suspended, you don't exactly have stalwarts back there with DF ratings of 73, 71, 68, 66 and 66 Even before this game you were averaging 30.6 shots against/game which would put you at 4th worst. It seems you need more adjustments than just a one game slider switch. Maybe a guy like Zanon could help Hmm, coach might be something to look at, unless experience and leadership and stuff on the coach really counts for nothing at all. However, my strategy SHOULD have been 1-3-1, as thats what it was set to last...

...unless experience and leadership and stuff on the coach really counts for nothing at all. It counts for what it counts for, which is not DF Also yeah my mistake, you did have 1-3-1

So they what exactly is the purpose of experience and leadership? I figured they influences how well the other stats worked.
For example 90 DF with 80 LD would be better than 99 DF with 70 LD
If this isn't the case, wtf do experience and leadership DO?

My suggestion would be to post on the sim board for an answer from either Simon or the community.

Why does it feel like I can never beat pitt Because Pitt is the new Jersey team of a few season ago, who beat you all the time....

Hopefully Parise starts producing soon. 1 point in 4 games isn't good enough.

Kovalchuk instigating a fight and getting a 1 game suspension vs NYI. Would've been a different game had he not been kicked out of it. I have to stop taking so many penalties, i'm going to wear Lundqvist out pretty fast if he keeps facing so many shots.

Wow, I think I'm about 3 more losses away from packing it up for the season...
What a terrible start to the year...nobody can score, goalies can't stop anything, defense is garbage (guess I shouldn't have traded Seidenberg).

I'm sure it has nothing to do with all the monster PA and SC ratings your forwards have Only 4 forwards with PA 70+ (74,74,71,70) none @ RW You have 4 d-men over 70DF (78, 74, 73, 71), however two of them are sub 70 PA And actually impressively, Thomas has the 8th best SV% in the league. I really don't get how some of you guys expect above average results with below average teams

There are a LOT of teams my team looks better than on paper. And hell, I made the playoffs last year with a worse overall team than I have this year. It just sucks to lose.

Good game today, got a lot of shots and it was nice to see Staal score. Not sure what I need to do to get Parise going though.

Maybe some day right now I'm looking at moving Horton. Doesn't look like he and Parise really work well together, but I have no other options for that line, that won't disrupt my other two lines that are functioning well.

Won a battle of "who's goalie will suck slightly less". Parise and Horton chose a good night to break out.
Tough schedule so far, in my first 9 games I've played Calgary 3 times and Edmonton twice.
