While not totally out of the potential playoff race for this season, Chicago is much more excited about what next season will bring.
With the NHL regular season ending, its time to take a final look at the NHL stats of Blackhawks Roster and see how well or poorly they did.
Organized by stats and position.
-C-
Bryan Little - 18g-30a-48p (+11)
Derick Brassard - 17g-30a-47p (-11)
Jason Arnott - 17g-14a-31p (-6)
-LW-
Dustin Byfuglien - 20g-33a-53p (-2) (Rated as a D-man)
Michael Grabner - 34g-18a-52p (+13) (can also play RW)
Sergei Kostitsyn - 23g-27a-50p (+10)
David Booth - 23g-17a-40p (-31)
Viktor Stalberg - 12g-12a-24p (+2)
-RW-
Alex Tanguay - 22-47a-69p (+0)

Blake Wheeler - 18g-26a-44p (+10) (can also play C)
Lee Stempniak - 19g-19a-38p (+4)
-D-
(Dustin Byfuglien - 20g-33a-53p (-2)) - Currently listed as LW)
Joe Corvo - 11g-29a-40p (-14)
Andrej Meszaros - 8g-24a-32p (+30)
Ian White - 4g-22a-26p (+3)
Toni Lydman - 3g-22a-25p (+32)
Dan Hamhuis - 6g-17a-23p (+29)
Brydon Coburn - 2g-14a-16p (+15)
Defensively my team will excel, especially with Thomas in net. Two PP quarterbacks will make each line deadly. 3 of the top +/- D-men in the NHL should provide high DF ratings. Chicago holds 4 of the top 10 +/- players in the NHL.
Offensively we look pretty solid, with 3 strong lines, and potentially a solid 4th line when needed. Grabner will be my go to guy for goals in the coming year, finishing in the NHL 11th in goals scored. Paired with Tanguay, that should be an exciting line. Horton and Kostitsyn should be a dangerous line as well with the ability to soak up extra minutes.
Chicago will have roughly 10-12m in salary room for Free Agency in the coming off-season, the only position I feel I need improvement on is Center, still need a top line center.
