Getting a bit sick of how the NHL is handling the "Classic".
At this rate, the future might look something like this.
2013: Chicago vs Washington 2014: Detroit vs Pittsburgh 2015: Buffalo vs Boston 2016: Pittsburgh vs Boston 2017: Washington vs Chicago (again) 2018: Detroit vs Detroit 2019: Pittsburgh vs Boston 2020: Pittsburgh vs Florida
Why did Philadelphia get the nod again? Why not the Islanders vs the Rangers? You know, RIVALS?! They could hold it in Yankee Stadium.
I'm annoyed they keep repeating teams.

Yeah I completely agree, was very disappointed with the matchup selection. Of course it would be amazing to see Isles/Rangers at Yankee stadium, but we all know the Isles won't see that game for a while, just not good for ratings

Detroit vs Toronto. nearly called it, lol Based on the location of the game those are the only two teams they could have picked. It's a great matchup and location to maximize the event.

What? Pretty sure they picked a Detroit location because Detroit was involved, not the other way around.

Pretty sure they picked a Detroit location because Detroit was involved, not the other way around. Well if they couldn't secure the venue then was it a definite Detroit was still one of the teams? And I meant by location I don't think they could have selected any other opponent for the Wings.

I'm fine with Toronto being the ones to play against them, its nice to see fresh teams play the classic.
I'm just annoyed Detroit is going again. At least its another Original 6 matchup.
