Well, I'm trying to find a reason why good ratings isn't translating into results in all aspects right now

Big shootout win against Calgary today to avoid falling to .500. The Flames took a lot of penalties and we finally capitalized on two in the third period. Somehow Seidenberg is still playing 25+ minutes a game, even though I took him off the 4th line

I expected that since he was getting 25-26 minutes a game playing on every 1st line, and the 4th line, that his ice time would go down a few minutes if I took him off the 4th line Oh well, it's going to be a tiring season for Seidenberg.

What was likely happening, was he wasn't ever playing those 4th line minutes to begin with. If a player is tired, players from the "Extra" section can take over their shift to allow them to rest. So he either was missing some 1st line shifts, or some PP/PK shifts...or something before when you also had him on the 4th line. Now he's playing those full minutes (or more of them) after being removed from the 4th line.

The East couldn't get much tighter, 2 pts. seperate 1st from 11th. Not a surprise. In the West 10 pts. seperate 1st from 11th.

See, I publicly criticize my goalie and he comes back with a 32 save, 65 minute win. Barely pulled out a tough one against the Ducks, experimenting with lines can get messy!

I better enjoy being in 2nd while it lasts haha.
I think it's pretty clear Stamkos and Hemsky have zero chemistry. Stamkos has 3 points in 8 games, Hemsky has 2 points. Not really sure what to do about it.

wow i knew my D wasn't great, but giving up 5 goals to the Ducks is alarming.

wow i knew my D wasn't great, but giving up 5 goals to the Ducks is alarming. I think a big problem for your team all season long will be the lack of defensive ability by your forwards. You only have 3 forwards with a DF rating of 70+ (74, 73, 72) which I have a feeling is a contributing factor to being 18th in goals against per game and 20th in shots against. You could have the best defense and the best goalie in the league, but if you're forwards aren't helping helping out defensively you're gonna probably let up more goals than you think you should. Sure some teams get by without an over abundance of nicely rated defensive forwards like Washington (1st in GA per game and 1st in shots against) but then you look at NJ and see only one forward NOT rated at least 70 in DF (6th in GA per game and 2nd in shots against). So I guess it can go either way depending on the rest of your supporting cast. But looking at your team that is the main deficiency that jumps right out.

The best PK vs the best PP tomorrow.
Should be interesting!

I think a big factor to the Caps success right now is Kesler's DF and SC rating are 83! In other words, his #1 center is both the leagues best defensive forward, and one of the leagues top scoring centers.

I am guessing Tampa would love to play my team every game. We suck!

Grrr, my team was playing so well, then lose two games in overtime.
Still giving up tons of goals, even on just a few shots. Really don't see what else I can do...I get shots against down, score more, and still end up losing.
