You will now start seeing players marked with the "$" symbol. What that means is this...
1. If the player goes one more entire day without a new bid then he will be closed and signed when FA closes that night.
2. If you are the first person to bid on a player that is set to close that night then you must make a minimum raise of 250K.
3. If you are the first person to bid on a player that is set to close that night AND you have NOT previously bid on that player then you must make a minimum raise of $500k. After the first bid is placed you may continue with 100k bidding increments.

If possible, please avoid using the Proboards Mobile App to place your bids.
It appears that its causing stickied posts to move from their placement, basically the same issue that caused Jon to need to make a new account for bidding purposes, see Tim Thomas, who jumped from neat the bottom to the top of the UFA goalies list.
We simply must avoid moving players around, it makes them hard to find if they are always moving.
This will be resolved next year when we organize the players differently.

There were a couple of pretty decent signings for very cheap so far, some GMs made out! I was also pretty surprised that nobody took a run at Weber, there's no way I could have matched a big offer so I'm obviously happy ;D

I'm so flattered!

Weber was the next name on my short list of possible RFA targets

Seeing Weber sit there and have no one bid hurt me a little inside.
I should have made bids on both Nabokov and Hedberg last night. I don't really want to get into a bidding war for a backup goalie. Arg.

I was pleasantly surprised to see no one outbid me on Nabokov. I see him going back to his SJ form on the Isles this year

I was pleasantly surprised to see no one outbid me on Nabokov. I see him going back to his SJ form on the Isles this year That would be lucky for you. Nabby hasn't been his old self for awhile now. 08-09: NHL - 62 games, 2.44, 91% 09-10: NHL - 71 games, 2.43, 92.2% 10-11: KHL - 22 games, 3.02, 88.8% 11-12: NHL - 42 games, 2.55, 91.3% He's 37 now. I don't think he really has it anymore, I think age has caught up with him.

Sorry Ray (and Gavin)! I always feel bad for bidding on players on the last day.

I was half kidding, but if you ignore the one KHL year its not that ridiculous to think he can get back there. He was lights out last year for the lowly Isles after all.

Sorry Ray (and Gavin)! I always feel bad for bidding on players on the last day. No prob, it's the nature of the beast, when I hit him Wed, (in no hurry to release your money anytime soon) it will only cost me 250,000 at least instead of 500,000 LOL

2.55, 91.3% is hardly "lights out", even if it was the Islanders, lol.

To me that's lights out, all things considered. Put him back on the Sharks last year and I think those numbers would improve significantly/be very similar to 08-09.
