I forget my exact bid on wideman, but its not high. I think NYI stole O'Neil - he's having a great season and is a good winger to get for nothing. I thought about O'Neill but decided I was going to try and get some youth. It would be so sweet if I pick up all four defensemen I bid on. My top six would have contracts for four years and Komisarek for 6. That would be my window to win a championship.

I'm very happy I got Weber. My defense is set now for a long time with Phaneuf and Weber plus Chara and Kaberle (I'll move at least one of those guys at the end of the season).
If I had known Penner would cost 2.2 mil I would have reconsidered Filppullas offer.

Over paid for both of my players... but the way I see it is I can keep Weber on the farm for this season. I'd rather spend 6.5 mil on him than 9.3 (like I almost did) on Jason Blake.

Wow, I wasn't even close. Had I known those were the salaries I would have changed some bids and not even bothered with some.
Congrats to all that got guys. I hope you can afford them. ;D

Brian Campbell - Mike Komisarek Steve Staios - Kevin Bieksa Paul Ranger - Christoph Schubert
Roberto Luongo Martin Biron
Looking pretty good from the net out. May move Luongo still but I need to see how my forwards turn out. I may still get Lee Stepinek but I tied a GM on a bid so we both had to rebid more then the initial offer. We will see

All in all a good day for me... added two great talents and a couple of long shot prospects.

Wow! I did not bid near enough but what I bid I thought and still think was way too much!!!!! Good luck to all who have spend a like there is no tomorrow for a possiblilty of greatness. If they don' turn out great we will have alot of overpriced unassigned in the near future. LOL
There may be a hand full who were worth it but definitely not at the price some have paid, but like all good things come to those that wait so does some disappointment once it comes. LOL
But then again they can be buried in farm for 3 years or so to make to the big show..... so there is that, but I do have to agree with Oilman that this definitely another brick in the wall of overpriced talents, where some may not even become talent....but we will see......
I bet if some of guys saw what they are worth here they can only wish some of our GM's were their GM for real, then they can play 3 to 4 years and then relax for life LOLOLOLOL
