Wow, I am in total shock I knocked off Calgary. After we lost game 6 I knew it would be a tall order to win today in Calgary. Lehtonen stole the series with a game 7 shutout at 98% CON. Bring on the Sharks!

In '09 as a #6 seed I beat #3 seed Carolina. Takes good trades and a lot of luck.

This has to be one of the bigger upsets we've ever had. Really thought Calgary was a force to be reckoned with this playoffs. Congrats Jim, well earned.

Bring on the Sharks! Disappointing loss for the Flames organization, but well done Jim. I thought Lehtonen's conditioning might be the deciding factor in our favour, but no such luck. Trade deadline acquisitions didn't take us to the next level as expected. I'm honestly left a little perplexed, but great to see so many teams competing at a high level in this league, with many on the verge of getting back into the mix. Best of luck in the rest of the playoffs, lads.

Calgary definitely has/had a great team, but I don't think you guys are giving Boston enough credit. It's not like Calgary got beat by Colorado lol.....
Forwards 70+ PA: Boston: 7 Calgary: 9
Forwards 70+ SC: Boston: 9 Calgary: 8
Forwards 70+ DF: Boston: 5 Calgary: 4
Forwards 70+ CK: Boston: 7 Calgary: 5
Defense 70+ PA: Boston: 2/6 Calgary: 2/7
Defense 70+ DF: Boston: 6/6 Calgary: 7/7
Defense 70+ CK: Boston: 3/6 Calgary: 5/7
Goalies: Bos - Lehtonen 86OV Cgy - Rinne 88OV The biggest discrepancy in any ratings category (other than EN) is only -4 (SZ), every other difference is only 3,2, or 1.

As the only GM to pick Boston to win that series, I'd like to say: I told you so

I think you dodged a bullet today, when Scott didn't come back with his bread and butter Goalie in Gm 7. Mason has performed the best for him all season. Long weekend in Canada so missed the lines but as much as I would like to use goaltending as an excuse Mason and Crawford are rated similarly and who plays wouldn't make a difference. Team just too crappy and lucky to be in play-offs at all let alone a 7 th game. Hopefully I can dump some dead weight in off-season and get on with a proper rebuild.
