I've had it.
Chicago is looking for a new starting goaltender to replace the fucking terrible and should be shot in the fucking face Mike Smith. Would have to be equally rated, salary is a major concern so if you're guy is highly paid, we'll have to figure something out if we want to deal.

Even with the Flames rolling, rumours out of Calgary have a couple players on the block:
1. Alex Semin - top 6 offensive forward. Yes, we know he's Russian. Yes, we know he has the fighting skills of a jockey (ie horse rider) rather than a jock. The fact that he signed a 1 yr deal in Carolina still tells me he wants to play in the best league in the world. So...don't undervalue (or I'll simply hold on to him).
2. Jay Bouwmeester - stock is down - obviously. I'll likely keep him until he plays again under Bob Hartley in NHL - he can be much better...but will entertain offers all the same as a $3 million dollar 68ov 7th dman is not ideal for me at this point.
Prospects: 1. Scott Glennie 2. Mattias Tedenby
Both could be had if it means imptoving upon current roster.
Consider salary cap implications of any offer...which means, following Coach Ron's provision, please make offer if interested and we can take it from there...
There's small chance I will entertain offers for: 1. Varlamov (would mean a backup coming back) plus impact young player 2. Jacob Markstrom - would have to be impact (i.e. elite) young skater in return

You should try my model, 2 top 10 goalies, a bottom 2 team

For those looking for pieces to fill in
Tim Connolly C/W good contract @ 2 mil a year and two more years after this. Good solid 3rd line C or W who could fill in nicely when injuries come as season goes on.
Lee Stempniak RW, Another solid 3rd liner who could fill in nicely when injuries arrive and they will this season. Great contract less then 1.5 mil a year and 3 years left after this season.
Dominic Moore - C/LW Another solid 3rd line guy and if you looking for a guy for one year, he is UFA after this season
Joel Ward - W - Nice experience 4th line play could fill in on third line too. 1 year after this year and only 1 mil per.
Send offers please, looking for picks and or propects!

Martin St. Louis is on the block.... decent salary at 7.5 M for two years... with an 83PA, 74 SC ratings...willing to listen to various type of offers
Cody Hodgson/Kyle Turris... would like to get a winger back with similar age, ratings and potential as i may start to have an overload down the middle, with more need for a top 6 winger.
Please send offers... thanks

I'm open for any interesting trade proposals. Things a bit slow in the league with the lock - out, plus most of us are up against the cap. Good reason to raise the cap next season imo.

People spend up to the cap on purpose. Raising the cap will just inflate salaries a bit more and end up with those same teams up against the cap yet again, it doesn't solve that issue at all. Every FA there is tons and tons of cap space to spend, no reason to raise the cap.

Until the cap goes up by 5 mil, I can literally only trade for guys making 500k as can be seen by my last few deals. But I don't think the cap should increase

We did see a few deals before free agency with some of the teams unloading salary to those that could take it.... thats the beauty of the cap.....it forces everyone to play by the same rules, the teams that are currently a contender, and those rebuilding teams....
