Not sure but I would like to know if a tie is a pass 12-12 i know it has been in the past, even on one of your trades, so I'm curious if that's now different for this trade. Might as well let it go, not fair to Mike to make that decision on my own. I am sick of talkin about it though, with the exception of your ansewr

I don't want to be the one who makes that decision, I would rather hear how others feel about a tie vote.

I think a tie should be a pass. Add the two teams involved and you have 14 of 26 GMs who think it should go through. Just my opinion.

To counter that however, almost all trades go through without any issue, if a trade is enough of an issue that half the league things its rejection worthy...to me that says it should be rejected.

Well then we should make a clear rule that says a tie is a fail, or that a certain number of votes is a fail. Right now I don't see anything in the rules that says that.

That's because once it hit 12 passes it was a done deal and approved, that the only reason, why then do we approve trades in the past that are 12-10 ETC., why not wait for the other 2 votes. I think it should be a pass regardless of this trade if it's a tie JMO. Although it was discussed years ago, I have no prob with hearing from others on this important issue.

Yeah, thats kinda why we are now talking about it, cause there is no official rule

Yeah, thats kinda why we are now talking about it, cause there is no official rule Touche, Gavin. I guess my point is, that it seems unfair to reject a deal with a tie vote if the rule is unclear. We should only apply any new rule we make to future votes.

I voted pass as I almost always do especially with two long serving GMs, but this deal makes no sense to me and was very close to being a no.

Contention brings compliance, lol. Not that I have anything invested in this, but I HATE when people say "I voted to pass, but its a terrible horrible worst trade ever..."....no offense, but that drives me nuts, if you think its BAD, vote NO, thats the point of the vote.

I don't think it is the worst trade ever.
I think if I vote no to every trade I don't agree with the league would be pretty boring.
I only vote no if I think deal really hurts a team and affects the competitiveness of the league.
I don't think the voting process should be used to stop trades I (or anyone) don't like. Different opinions/values make the league fun.

lol who's the last person that needs to vote on the trade?? jeez.... can't be very wonderful for Ray or Mike to have to wait for one person at this point.

I already asked Jon to tear it down and post the new 3-way deal - it will include an up - grade to Mike, my decision. At this point it was as you all know 12-11 to pass, pitts shot in to reject it , but blew off the pole, another surprise LOL
