The Wild came out and don't disappoint in there first game of the season.
A 5-1 win against a good Rangers team.
We did not get to see our PP go to work as the Rangers took no penalties, which was pretty awesome by them. On our only PK we gave up a goal.
Good first game of the season.

I can't really complain. Would have liked an opening win, but we'll take the tie against Calgary.....

Good to start 2-0 but today's game did not start out well in first period, giving up 4 goals, but the experience of this team allowed us to not panic and came back for a win.
Rested Cole who had minor injury, but still did not rejuv, so not sure why! He will probably play tomorrow in the third of 4 straight games to open season....
Keith, our young strong dman, had a strong game with his first 2 goals of the season....

Decent start with a 3-3 tie against Dallas. DiPietro played well and the top line was a force. Hopefully the defense starts to gel a bit more. 35 shots against isn't a good thing.

GM Kevin Byrnes is happy with the rebound performance by the Hurricanes today. Roberto Luongo looked shakey in his first start of the year by giving up 4 goals on 22 shots. But he regained form by stoning the Sabres on 25 of 26 shots. GM Byrnes is also very pleased by how his defenseive squad is playing. The absence of a top pairing Dman has not hurt the Canes so far. They are giving up just 24 shots per game and only taking 1 penalty per game.

Team went to sleep in the second game of the day
Out shoot Pens 17-7 in the first and up 3-0 Only to be out shot 21-10 in the next two perids giving up three goals.
Came to life in OT with five shots only giving up one. Pens are a great team happy to get the point.

I should be 4-0-0 if it was not for some ridiculous goaltending.
0-0 tie against a cup favorite Sharks team.
Out shots the Sharks 39-17 32 hits in the game
Just flat out dominated in all aspects of the game, Rick DiPietro stood on his head.

Correction, you dominated in all the areas except for the most important one: goaltending. shoulda kept Luongo
