iv clinched 3rd so i think im paying pitts aint i? No, you've clinched 4th. You're behind NYI and NJ because of record and behind whoever wins the division between Carolina and Philly. You're first round opponent will be either Carolina or Philly, whoever doesn't win the division. And just in case Toronto: vs Carolina - Toronto won 2-1-1 vs Philly - Toronto won 3-1-0 Eddie has it right on the head, Eug. 1st Seed - NYI plays 8th Seed NYR 2nd Seed - Carolina or Philly plays 7th Seed Montreal 3rd Seed - NJ plays 6th Seed Pitts. 4th Seed - Toronto Plays 5th seed Philly or Carolina 5th Seed - Philly or Carolina plays 4th Seed Toronto 6th Seed - Pitts. plays 3rd Seed NJ 7th Seed - Montreal plays 2nd Seed Philly or Carolina 8th Seed - NYR plays 1st Seed NYI That's the East - Division winners get top seeds, Southern Divison un-settled yet. Will indeed be settled today.

iv clinched 3rd so i think im paying pitts aint i? I'll give you third if you want, rather face Philly instead of Pitt with Brodeur who always kills us, even with Washington last season and the no name team he still kicked our ass, now he has team in front it will be tough opening series - the toughest matchup no doubt!!!! But you can take third if youwant I know Ray would rather play me too.

Early Picks: Eastern Conference: Isles-Rangers Isles 4-1 Dominating Canes - Habs Canes 4-3 Canes get nod for goaltending but Habs have strength and experience upfront Devils- Pens ? 4-3 Could go down to last game in shootout - tough opening match Leafs - Philly Leafs 4-3 Leafs led seasonseries but philly got better and better as season rolled on. Western Conference: Flames - Blue Jackets Flames 4-1 Dominating Sharks - Coyotes Sharks 4 -2 gave one more win to Yokes becasue of toughness Rockies- Predators Predators 4-3 The only lower seed becasue of matchup during season Ducks - Wild Ducks 4-3 This was tough - could go either way

Yeah nice matchups for sure. Well let's see, my last 2 years i've lost in the 1st round both times. Once by NJ and once by Philly, i think it's time for revenge Netherless it should be a great one!

As I look to the West, I see 5 new playoff faces this season. Minny- Columbo - Nash - Ana - Pho. Congrads to you guys. In the East only 1, the Isles. Not only making the playoffs, but the best record in the East - Should be a front runner for GM of the year for sure, nice job Phil!!

even in that elusive sevnenth slot the management up in montreal is pumped for the playoff run. notoriously stingy Owner/gm shawn goldmintz has been whining to the media about hemorrhaging money for the sake of the franchise. goldmintz rejoiced as the habs held onto their playoff spot, guaranteeing at least 2 more profit-inducing home games for the club.

PITTS @ NJ NJ 4-2 Inspite of both being solid in goal look for a high scoring series . PHILLY @ TOR Could be a low scoring series and go 7 West: COLU @ CALG CALG 4-1 CALG loaded with talent, will be hard to stop, only weakness is a lack of physical play. PHO @ SJ SJ 4-1 SJ Very physical and well coached, can shut down any team in the league and score in bunches. NASH @ COL COL 4-2 COL will be hard to beat with improved Goaltending and a Wile coach. MINN @ ANA ANA 4-3 One of the better match-ups in the 1st Rd. Pretty even match-up. Gotta give the Ducks the edge for experiance and homefield. Good Luck to all !!

Toronto over Carolina 4-2 - too much offense for Canes to handle not even Luongo can stop!
Pitt over NYI 4-2 - too much Brodeur and Crosby needs help for this round!
San Jose over Colorado - 4- 3 San Jose top line will awaken for Sharks and not sure Rockies have enough goalkeeping for them to beat them but Coach and gM will make it interesting
Calgary over Minn - 4-2 Not as easy for Flames this round - Minny will give them a run but then Calgary will have too much firepower

East Rd. 2:
Pitts@NYI Good match up, Isles could win this if Sid "The Kid" gets a little help from his friends. Gotta go with the NYI and their stingy D. Isles in 7
Tor@Car Homefield won't matter in this one. Tor has too much firepower for the Canes, but the Canes always tough and well coached and could be dangerous. Toronto in 6
West Rd. 2:
Min@Calg Is Minny for real or flash in the pan. He will be tested here for sure, Calg has few weaknesses, but will face a more physical team in this one. Goin for the upset. Minny in 7
Col@SJ Another decent match-up. Both coaches are wise and will have good game plans. Gotta go with homefield in this one. Look for alot of ot and a long series. SJ in 7
