Since I'm still involved, I'll refrain from offering up predictions...great job by those who do though, although hoping Ray's don't come true...lol...Flames expecting a real tough test this round from the Wild... What else is new, but super busy lately so posting less than Id like... Congrats to all 1st rnd participants, especially the new faces like Ray mentioned: Minny- Columbo - Nash - Ana - Pho...(sorry for the sweep Columbus ) Some great efforts by the surprsing Coyotes as well as Nashville...The WIld of course are far from done, but Corey & the Ducks have to be disappointed with their early exit. Coach Ron & Philly Ray were victims of some tough 1st rnd matchups in the East, and the Rangers put up a valiant effort in the battle of NY. Going to an interesting 2nd round to say the least league wide. Good luck to all the rest of the way... Cheers, Chris

Not surprised to see all the home teams win the first one. Home advantage always huge in the playoffs, I'm pretty sure every home team has won the OT'S as well.
Quick look at yesterday's results.
East:
1- Welcome to LongIsland Pitts.. The goals come tough here, and this is where the East's All-Star Goalie lives. Hossa needs to wake up, he is a sleeping giant.
2- Luongo 1 Tor. 0 If he can do that the whole series, it will be a short one. He had to have had nightmares of flying pucks, last night, stopping 13 out of 14 shots in the 3rd.
West:
3- Lot's of hits in this one, Calg. sent a physical message to Gagne and the Wild. Better keep your head up in this series. If Calg continues to play as physical as they did Minny will be joining Jersey for a rd of golf. Minny can ill afford to lose big guns in the first and must better protect it's stars, who are paid to score.
4- OT What a surprise- look for more. Both teams played well, Huet get's a rest in a long one, could be a good move, SJ get's the OT win though and the Aves will have to figure a way to win in San Jose sooner or later.
Good Luck to all in Gm. 2

East Final: TOR@NYI - This should be a low scoring series. Gotta Give the offensive and physical edge to the Leafs. Homefield won't save the Isles this time, as the leafs win the Wales in 6 West Final: SJ@Calg - This is a better match-up then some may think. Should be another long series for the Sharks, which will work in favor of a well rested Flames team. The Flames can play physical if need be and will repeat as the Norris Trophy winner in 7 Good Luck guys!! Your up to bat Ron

East Finals:
I got to pick Leafs since they were my pick from the beginning as the east power team. Isles may give them some trouble but Leafs have more depth and I think this time that may be too much for the big 4 of the Isles. 6 games
West Finals:
Like Philly, I think Sharky is going to give Flames all they can handle, although Flames will pull it out, it will not ba as easy as we all thought. The Flames will have their toughest fight here but it will still end in 6.

Congrats to both Chris and Eug for making it through the long grind of season and playoffs to make it to the big show! Also congrats to both Phil & Sharky on a great season! OK! Sorry Chris my friend, your team is the most dominate team ever! But I am going to pick Toronto in 7 Oh what the hell, not like I am betting money here! But really i just wanted to pick the wild card here. Either way, you both are very deserving of the cup and Calgary may win it with that team, but I always thought Toronto had to only chance to compete so that is why I pick them!
