Nice to see a few teams win without the homefield advantage. Also note that 75% of the winning Gm's are original, experience a factor indeed. I've been perfect thus far in my 2nd rd predictions, I'm sure Joe hopes that trend continues.

Thanks everyone! Honored to beat such a talented Montreal team. It didn't look good going into game 7 with a tired goalie and no Parenteau. His replacement Shawn Thornton game up with a big goal and JVR had the huge OT winner. Hopefully my team can rest up and be ready for a tough New Jersey squad..

It doesnt get any closer than game 7 overtime! Congrats on the win, best of luck in the next round.

Well, dodged another bullet. Congrats to the Flames on a great series. Happy to be moving on, but don't expect it to get any easier against the red-hot Blues.
May have to give Reimer a start to give Varlamov some rest. He's a little tired but came through big time in game 7. He hasn't always been consistent, but when he's good, he's very good.
Good luck to all four Conference finalists. It's anybody's cup to win at this point. The only thing we know for sure is that we are going to have a first-time cup champion.

When you out-shoot the other team 50-24 and lose 3-2, all you can do is congratulate the opposing goalie on a great game. I think this Carey Price fellow might turn out to be all right

I think this Carey Price fellow might turn out to be all right Since you didn't win the 1st gm in the other 2 rds., and still won the series, maybe that's a good sign for you to lose the 1st one yet again. Looks like another 7 gm series on the horizon.

Price saved 48/50 shots including all 9 in OT and got the 3rd star? Ok lol

Looking over the Blues, I don't think I've given Gary enough credit for putting together a roster that isn't overly flashy, but effectively deep. Obviously it's early and I expect Joe to tie it up in game 2 but teams like the Blues tend to sneak up on ya. Also if history has proven anything it's goalies can and do steal wins by themselves. If Price is right this season, watch out. Shaping up to be a good battle on the Wessaide

I like the way you think, Ray. Although I'm thinking that strategy is going to backfire one of these times. Of course if Price keeps playing like he did today, I don't think it's going to matter.

Out shot 25-6 in the third period and overtime, just like I planned it! Did kill all four penalties in the 3rd and OT though. I had a good laugh at the third star for Price too. Man, what does a guy have to do? Clearly have to make some changes or this will be the only win we get in this series.

Did anyone really expect anything different than both Conference Finals being tied 2-2 at this point? I know I didn't.

No complaining about the win, but I'm pretty the ref is not a fan favorite in St. Louis. VAN - 10 PP, STL - 0 PP
