Eastern Conference:Boston vs. New JerseyThe Bruins did the unthinkable, upsetting the defending JGHL Cup Champion Montreal Canadiens in a exciting seven-game series. Not that it was really that much of an upset, when you look at it closely. James Van Riemsdyk was the start for the Bruins with four goals and five assists in the seven-game series, including the game 7 winner in overtime. The Metropolitan Division champion New Jersey Devils meanwhile took out the New York Rangers in a six game series that was actually closer than it appeared, with five of the six games decided by a goal. Known for their defense during the regular season, the Devils have become an offensive juggernaut in the post-season, boasting the top two scorers in the playoffs in James Neal (19 points) and Patrice Bergeron (17). Prediction: Hard to bet against the Bruins, but I'm thinking the Devils could be a team of destiny - Ron's New Jersey squad in seven. Jim and his Bruins may take solace in the fact that I'm near the bottom in the JGHL predictor pool Western Conference:St. Louis vs. VancouverThe Blues took out a tough Detroit Red Wings squad in six games to advance to their first conference final. Centre David Backes was key for the Blues, rising to the occasion in a big way and being named a game star in three of the four St. Louis' victories. Forward Jeff Carter has been a leader throughout the playoffs as well, leading the club with 8 goals and 14 points in the first two rounds. The Vancouver Canucks will also play for the conference championship for the first time in club history after squeaking by a tough Calgary Flames squad in seven games. Centres Anze Kopitar (4-4-8) and Logan Couture (3-4-7) both averaged a point per game in the series and provided key goals when the Canucks needed them most. Prediction: The only thing we know for sure is that based on the Canucks' history the series is almost certain to go seven games. Other than that, it's too close to call, meaning lots of nervous moments for both GMs. Ray's prediction of a Blues' win has me a little worried, but hopefully he's due to get one wrong. Summary:Eastern Conference: Boston vs. New Jersey - Devils in 7 Western Conference: St. Louis vs. Vancouver - Someone in 7

Devils in 7 - Both teams coming in hot but I like the Devils defense, PK, and depth in a 7 game series
Canucks in 6 - Gotta go with my cup pick here, but I expect the Blues to make it interesting with Price in net
Good luck to the final 4, definitely always good for the league to see new champs being crowned. Parity is at an all time high and we got teams like Buffalo, Philly, Colorado, and Anaheim knocking on the door. JGHL golden years!

Bruins in 7. Obviously a tough call at this stage, but if the Bruins were good enough to knock off the defending champs I think they can win this one too. The Devils are scoring goals at a pretty crazy rate in the playoffs. Lehtonen needs to come up big. in 7. Canucks won three of four during the regular season. Vancouver can roll three scoring lines and the D is maybe the best in the league. Really not sure how we have a chance! The best PK in the playoffs is going to have to continue to play well. Last time we made the conference final we lost in six to Detroit...didn't think we could win that one either.
