Not bad overall. I'd prefer some more production, but there is still lots of time left in the season. Here's hoping. Now are your players doing?

From your guys, can't believe how good Klingberg has been. I thought his unassigned bid was insane, but looks like it's warranted. He's the next (or new) Karlsson. Thought Bjugstad would continue to increase production, but there's still time.
For me, happy with the top guys Pavelski, Steen, Monahan. Toffoli has slowed down since a hot start, but not too worried. Obv Kuznetsov has been the most pleasant surprise with ppg through 28 games, Dale Weise also a gift so far. Bobby Ryan's comeback season is in full effect, Boedker has been solid, and Pominville is getting hot. Goes without saying the biggest dud has been Kesler so far, and Stastny's injury didn't help after a hot start.
On D nothing crazy but I'm content. The non UFAs Hamonic, Braun, Scandella should maintain their core ratings which is all that matters. Hoping Streit comes back soon and has a good finish. Holden has been solid. Finally, Rask has been white hot after a garbage start so that's good to see.

I am happy Klingberg is proving my big bid right I had a feeling he'd put up 50-60 points this year playing behind Seguin and Benn, but I had no idea he would be this good. My team has it's ups and downs. Tavares, Pacioretty, Wheeler, Gaudreau, Landeskog, Josi and Suter are all doing well - extremely well. Stamkos has been somewhat disappointing, but I still expect a 40 goal season out of him. Johnson has also been just "decent". Stefan's injury has been pretty devastating, but I think he'll still be a very solid third liner next year. Voracek has obviously been brutal this year. Hopefully he can pick it up in the 2nd half. I still believe in his ability to be a top RWer in the league. Varlamov is coming around after a very bad start. Overall, my biggest wins are Gaudreau being simply amazing and getting Klingberg (now Josi) for pretty much nothing.

Young Core (ish) Guys:
Sean Couturier 24-3-5-8 Sam Bennett 28-5-8-13 Charlie Coyle 28-6-7-13
Still not enough offense from Couturier and looking like that may never come. Bennett has been good for a 19 year old. Coyle is Ok, not great.
TJ Brodie 20-3-10-13 Ryan Murray 31-2-10-12
Brodie has been awesome, by far the best defenseman on the Flames. The most important thing is Murray has remained healthy. He has put up decent numbers as well. Hopefully that continues certainly a lot better from these two than the forwards.
Connor Hellebuyck- 4-1 1.79 .938
Young Fringe guys:
Tyler Ennis 19-3-7-10 Brett Connolly 27-5-7-12 Sven Baertschi 25-2-5-7 JT Miller 31-5-9-14 Alex Wennberg 19-1-5-6
Baertschi seems to be his usual up and down (mainly down self). Miller is a solid contributor in NY. Wennberg about as expected for a young guy. Connolly never going to live up to his draft spot but contributing.
Jared Spurgeon 28-4-12-16
Spurgeon continues to be a solid contributor. No complaints from me about him.
Super old guy everyone should be trading their first for:
Patrick Sharp 30-10-12-22 WOW! WOW! WOW! and he can play both wings? Oh la la (plus he is so very handsome!!)
Overall not a great bunch of numbers but that is to be expected with such a young group. Brodie, Murray and Spurgeon the 3 standouts and good to see that Hellebuyck may get enough games to have good ratings by next year (and that he is a viable starter potentially).

Wow. My team is so far from being good its crazy!
Ive only got like 10 legit guys in the NHL.
Nikolay Goldobin, SJ F 9 1 1 2 Daniel Sedin, Van F 32 14 20 34 Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Edm F 31 8 15 23 Jaromir Jagr, Fla F DTD 28 9 12 21 Jordan Nolan, LA F 29 0 2 2 Alexander Burmistrov, Wpg F 31 2 5 7 Teuvo Teravainen, Chi F 28 6 7 13 Barclay Goodrow, SJ F 13 0 3 3 Marcus Kruger, Chi F 32 0 1 1 Aleksander Barkov, Fla F 21 7 9 16 Morgan Rielly, Tor D 29 4 11 15 Andrej Sustr, TB D 30 0 6 6
For my young guys, Barkov, Nuge and Reilly are all progressing really well (big surprise, all top 5 picks).
I had high hopes for Burmistrov, but it looks like hes going to be very similar to kruger, a PK specialist. Speaking of which, Kruger and Sustr are also doing well, but these numbers dont show it. Im really only counting on one rating from them, DF.
Tuevo has been serviceable, and I am hoping that he gets stronger as the season progresses. Still, I would have liked a 50 point pace rather than a 35 point pace.
My remaining Vets are great actually... Sedin and Jagr are simply killing it. Both will be better next year than this, which is huge for a team like mine that needs every ounce of value I can get.
Finally, Goldobin..... ummm yeah.... glad hes back in the AHL. He needs time to get stronger.
Youll notice Palat isnt on this update. Lets just say his current ratings are great.....

As expected the red wings roster is pretty bare and looking bleak for next year as well. Many older players are retired or sent to the ahl at this point, but there are lots of young players that are a year or two away from making the jump to the big leagues.
In the NHL
Young players such as : Ryan Spooner,Andre Burakovsky, Andrew Shaw, Daniel Sprong and Jiri Sekac are player to the standard of a young player with limited playing time on 3rd or 4th lines.
Connor Murphy, Adam Clendening and Cody Golobouf are playing as expected with Golobouf and Clendening In and out of the line up and Murphy filling a 2nd pairing role.
Andrei Vasilievsky and Steve Mason have been ok. Mason's number could certainly be better while Vas has had his good and bad games and should continue to improve backing up Big Ben.
Some young players got their first call to the NHL This season. Christian Thomas (who was recently traded), Viktor Arvidsson, Corban Knight, and Mikka Salomakki are all currently up with their parent clubs filling depth roles.
Veteran players are having disappointing seasons so far. Dave Bolland, Daniel Paille, Matt Irwin, Tanner Glass and Jarrett Stoll were all sent to the ahl ( Bolland on a conditioning stint and Stoll was picked up off waivers by the wild) as well Bryce Salvador retired from the game. Meanwhile Chris Neil, Jordan Tootoo, Brayden Coburn, Ryan Reaves, and Justin Fontaine have all been playing depth roles with their teams on the 3rd/4th lines and 3rd D pairings. Ron Hainsey has been a surprise playing first pairing minutes and putting up 11 points in 30 games so far.
In the Ahl
Some players have been playing very well so far in the AHL. Andreas Athanasiou, Sonny Milano, Nick Cousins, Ty Rattie and Micheal Mcaarron have been solid playing at or close to ppg pace. Also Julius Honka, Jason Dickinson, Barndon Montour, Shea Theodore, Jordan Smaltz, T.J. Brennan and Chris Bigras have all been good on the back end as well. Kristers Gudlevskis has been good for Syracuse posting a 2.40 gga and .930 sv%.
In other leagues.
Nick Merkely is making a strong case for team canada this year and currently has 30p in 26gp in Kelowna. Ryan Macinnis, and Samuel Blais have also done well, while Graham Knott and Radovan Bondra have had some rough times Bondra with a huge (-13). Brock Boeser and Nick Smaltz have been good for their University of North Dakota team. Both are currently above a point per game. Andrei Mironov is doing well in the KHL as well as Aleksi Saarela in the Finnish league. Finally Marcus Hogberg has been average in the SHL posting a 2.64 gga and .900 sv% and Samuel Montbeault got the call the team canada after a suspension to Mackenzie Blackwood, because his 2.79 gga and .890 sv% certainly weren't the reason.
All in all there looks to be a good future on the way for the Red Wings but it will be at least 2 years before there is a huge impact. I am happy with my pool of prospects and young players and hope that my veteran players can turn it around ( even thought that's asking a lot). From the loos of things right now our team has a good future and will have to be very active in trades and free agency to prepare for next year.

Patrik Bartosak got deported I think. Should probably be a negative on his durability rating next year. Alex Khocklachev got called up and I still can't spell his name. Anton Slepyshev scored in the AHL tonight Brian Dumoulin won the December Norris I think Martin St. Louis retired? I went to the Rangers game on Friday and he wasn't there. I was inches from Mark Messier though. He had hella security. Brad Richardson is on an NHL team. I think. He's probably outperforming his skills. David Krejci is likely winning the real Hart and Selke Griffin Reinhart has brothers and a dad I don't have Luke Gazdic, but he's not doing very well Derek Roy is maybe not even employed as a hockey player this winter. I liked him. I don't think I have any Oilers. That's a first. I have some Flames though. Karri Ramo is on pace for the Jennings and Joe Colborne will get the Selke I probably have other players too. They are a mix of good and bad, young and old, but they aren't your players, so why would you give two shits? I'm going to make some delicious popcorn and eat it.
