My god are the rest of the play-offs going to be terrible. Hopefully Anaheim wins so there is at least one good team left because a Western Conference with St. Louis, Dallas, San Jose and Nashville is awful and every team in the East is terrible as well.
I think I will pop in to hope someone beats Washington but other than that there is zero reason to watch to see which crappy team left backdoors their way to an undeserved Cup.
I can't believe that a team with Perry, Kesler and Bieksa on it is the only hope left for a decent Cup winner.

I'm interested to know what makes you think they will be terrible, what is so awful about the teams listed?

My god are the rest of the play-offs going to be terrible I dunno Scott, how can you not be happy for the Blues? I know there's some Hawks fans here but pretty sure the whole sports world is gratified seeing them finally pull through after 4 1st round exits. Also pulling for the Sharks to see if they can finally make a proper run. East I agree is a little more dull but could make for some fun games in the 2nd round. Not sure who's playing who, but TB/Pitt/Wash there will be entertaining. Hoping for Blues/Sharks v TB/Wash finals. Anything else would be a disappointment.

Well the simple answer is a lack of talent.
But for specifics, Dallas defense and goaltending is very weak, St. Louis has some ok no great forwards, questionable goaltending and a butter soft defense, Nashville has about zero threats up front even with the addition of Johanssen, SJ has a weak defense outside of Burns/Vlasic and I am not really that impressed with their forwards outside of Thornton and Couture.
Out East the teams are just no good at all. Washington has its usual offensive firepower but both forwards and defense have little to no clue how to play defense and they have the biggest collection of guys coming up small in big moments possible, Pittsburgh's defense would terrify me as a fan and not sure I would love to go to war with any of their goalies, NYI has Tavares and that is about it, I like Hamonic but the other d all suck and Greiss? No thanks, TB is a collection of good, no great guys (with Stamkos out) hard to win a Cup with a roster full of meh.

I am not happy for the Blues because they are so blah to me. I want to see good teams go through and good teams win the Cup. I mean I guess good for them for not choking for once but really it seemed more like Chicago running out of gas than St. Louis being impressive. Maybe I would have more happiness or respect for them if I saw something impressive out of them.

Dallas isn't that bad at all, their Forwards are very good and they have a better D-core than the Blackhawks do this year, the Hawks lost because we have 3/6th of a defensive core, the bottom 3 are either too old and slow or are rookies who make a lot of mistakes. Defensive mistakes cost us EVERY loss we suffered to St. Louis, all game 4 were lost on a major defensive error.
Happy to see the Sharks beat LA (I hate LA), that team looks focused.
I think the best team in the Playoffs right now is clearly Washington, Trotz has that team firing on all cylinders at the right moment.
My Finals picks are Dallas vs Washington, with the Capitols winning in 7.

NYI has Tavares and that is about it, I like Hamonic but the other d all suck and Greiss? No thanks How can you not like Boychuk - solid D with a booming shot, or especially Leddy for that matter - slick skater who makes nice rushes? I admit Calvin de Haan and Hickey are nothing to write home about, but Pulock has looked great and hopefully he's back soon. Sure Greiss isn't exactly a top-tier goalie but he's sure been playing like it. Even if Halak is healthy I'd still like to see Greiss ride this out. Talent up front is definitely a little weak (minus JT of course) but it's a solid group of character players. How can you not like Frans Nielsen or the best 4th line in hockey who just run around hitting the crap out of people (and chip in some points) without being cheapshot artists? Definitely not stacked with superstar talent but they are hard workers. I think they are easy to root for, definitely frustrating as a fan sometimes but very easy to root for.

Yea I'm totally overlooking the Isles in all of this, but definitely the easiest team to root for. No one expected them to even make playoffs let alone win a round. Go Isles!

Sucks was a harsh assessment. I like Leddy and Boychuk as 4/5 guys. For the Isles they are forced to play too many minutes for my liking and in roles they shouldn't be playing. I would find them easier to cheer for if you took away Wang and Snow.

Trust me, you're not the only one lol Yea I'm totally overlooking the Isles in all of this, but definitely the easiest team to root for. No one expected them to even make playoffs let alone win a round. Go Isles! The funny thing is, for some reason the Isles are looked at as underdogs in this series and I see so many people and writers saying it would be an upset if the Isles won. Yet the Isles finished the regular season with more points than Tampa, but because of the stupid seeding the NHL does it rewards Tampa with home-ice for finishing with less points
