If Nahsville wins they will be by far the worst Stanley Cup champion to win the Cup that I can remember. Maybe that Carolina team would be close but at least they had a great player in Staal and some good support pieces.
Nashville was by far out played by Anaheim, badly outplayed by the Blues and very lucky to get by the Hawks even though it was a sweep.
As a Flames fan outside of maybe Josi and Forsberg I can't think of a single guy from Nashville that I would want on the Flames. Prior to the play-offs I would have said Ellis but he is really clueless defensively. Maybe I will take Ekholm if he can bring a promise that he will get away with the 5-10 penalties he gets away with each game but I doubt he gets that pass if he is on the Flames.
100% team of luck and crap.

LOL ok not sure if serious, but how is sweeping (1-0, 5-0, 3-2, 4-1) considered lucky. I agree it was much closer against the Blues and Ducks but c'mon.. And you're saying you wouldn't want Subban on the Flames? Alright then 🤔

Nashville may only have Josi, Forsberg and Subban, but I take Johansen too who has not played since May 18th and Preds are still in Finals and not sure sneaking by Hawks is right considering it was 4 zip!

I forgot about Johanssen with his injury but I really like him and would gladly take him.
Not a chance I want Subban anywhere near the Flames. We are finally rid of Wideman no need to replace him with another no defence turnover machine that likes to give the puck to the other team as much as passing it his own guys. Plus don't need his look at me attitude either.
Looks like the Preds could be on their way to another fluke win. If they win the Cup I think that may be it for me and the NHL.

Scott, did you get mugged in Nashville or something? I watched the game tonight start to finish, and can safely say this win was no fluke. Pens were outworked, out shot, and aside from Crosby's breakaway goal, shut down. Sure Rinne made some crazy saves, but if that means it's luck or fluky then maybe we should play with open nets.
IMO this has been one of the best cup finals and overall playoffs in years. Wayyyy better than NBA. As a hockey fan I have been thoroughly entertained, and based on the TV ratings so have most others. Would you have preferred a 4-0 Pens sweep? Lighten up man!

Never got mugged and outside of them being a mediocre, at best team, that doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the Cup I really don't have anything against them at all. If I were to rank my favorite NHL teams from 1-30 my guess is Nashville would be around 10-15 maybe even top 10.
Pens were the much better team today and much more deserving of winning this game and the series. Although I turned it off after the 2nd period in disgust so maybe the Preds picked it up in the 3rd.
I think these have been some really terrible play-offs (of course better than the NBA but watching paint dry is better than the NBA) and as I said with Nashville potentially being the worst team in my lifetime (37 years) it has the potential to be disastorous in my view.
Yes if given a choice I would have much preferred a Pens sweep.

We must be watching different playoffs. These are some of the most exciting series that I can remember, so many overtimes and games where the winner was completely up in the air. As for Nashville and this series, the preds have won 11 of the 12 periods and Pittsburgh is being severely outplayed and that is despite Nashville missing their #1 center and #2 LW. Their team speed is unmatched in these playoffs and they have the best top 4 d unit the the league. I don't know where this turnover machine label has come from for PK. He was scrutinized in Montreal but now that he gets to relax and have fun (instead of the vacuum of the canadiens) his possession numbers are off the charts. He is playing like a top 10-15 d in the league and any team would be lucky to have him.

I want some of what Scott (TBay) is smoking. Glad you're not in charge of Flames personnel, my friend, with all due respect... PK could suit up for the Flames anytime - he already does for the JGHL Flames ; ) Like him or no, he's a solid, good dude and think his personality actually good for hockey, and this coming from an "old school" kind of guy. Eric Duhatschuk was talking about him yesterday and whether or not you like the whole package, he IS a good guy and stays true to himself. I respect that. I haven't watched enough to judge, but he's also being applauded by pundits for his shutdown role against SC87 or Geno, depending on the venue. One series, you might call flukey, lucky. To be 2-2 in Finals, you cannot. With any luck, they'd actually probably be up 3-1. I'm actually really liking, respecting this Preds franchise - actually have for years. Quite something to see the support that area has built up. Wouldn't mind catching a game there sometime. I'd actually target a number of players on their roster. Heck I might even go for the "other Gaudreau" ; )
I do think the playoffs go too late in the year though... I'm in full outdoors, mountain biking mode, but trying to keep up and watch a period here and there.

I am well aware that I have a minority opinion when it comes to the Preds play in the final but I still am not impressed.
Sorry Chris not a chance I want Subban anywhere near this Flames team. But I also think the sun doesn't have a stupidity rating so Subban likely works better in the sun than reality.
I get his turnover machine from watching him repeatedly doing spin-a-tamas as last man back or trying to skate through the whole team rather than making a simple outlet pass.

Crazy to read this conversation really, I haven't heard of anyone having this opinion of Nashville so far yet this postseason. They were picked by a lot of people early on in the season to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals (to ironically play Montreal). They play hard, and their top line guys look like they aren't afraid to go to the corners or to the front of the net to battle. Their might be some luck that goes with it too but you could make that case against any team that goes to the finals. I like what I have been watching. Especially the Nashville home games, that's an environment that I want to be a part of one day!

I will take a break from pissing everyone off with my Nashville takes to complain about something else: How the hell is there no game tonight? ? I understand that they have moved games around to fit with the NBA schedule and I fully get and agree with that but there is no NBA game and no other big sporting event tonight, it makes perfect sense to have game 6 on right now. I should be ready to watch Crosby accepting the Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup but instead I am watching a movie from 1988 that I have seen at least a dozen times!!

I hope the Goon squad of Nashville is thumped by the Skill of Pitts.. Skill wins in the end, usually, the Refs though let Nashville get away with alot. Seems like Pitts., is having to beat Nashville and the refs. I hate Basketball BTW.
