First back to the injury thing.....I personally feel there are not enough injuries this season, both long term and short term. I moved the injury slider up slightly, and immediately we saw more injuries to farm players only. I talked to the creator of the sim and his suggestion was to increase the DU of all players on the farm and then increase the injury slider again. I refuse to do this, since it would not be fair when those players come up to have inflated DU ratings. So unfortunately I think we are kind of stuck on this one. However I know that in the next version of the sim there are seperate sliders for pro and farm, so we'll just have to deal with it for now.
Here is an analysis of game stats from last season and this season.....
Team Goals Per game:
Last season: 3.03
This season: 2.92
Team Shots Per Game:
Last season: 26.5
This season: 27.5
Team PIM Per Game:
Last season: 5.33
This season: 7.99
There is no point in comparing PP/SH% since the "effectiveness" of each can not be changed/adjusted. The only real difference is about 2.5 extra penalty minutes a game per team, which is basically just one penalty. But I can adjust that slider slightly if people would prefer.
As far as the goalie fatigue factor goes.....Currently there are only 6 goalies that are not at 100CD. Of those goalies their DU ratings are 95, 71, 66, 64, 60, 57. Of course the last 5 should be tired, because they're not the caliber of goalie that should be playing every night. But that doesn't mean that every other goalie should be rock solid and able to play 95% of their teams games.
I am waiting to hear back from the sim creator on a certain formula, but as we have it set now, a 100CD goalie can face 31 shots before losing 1 CD point (36 before losing 2). However you'll notice that our league average for shots is much lower @ 27.5
As far as the player fatigue factor goes.....If you look there are hardly any players that are not at 100CD. There is no way that after 20 games all these players would be 100% every night, especially with some of the scheduling we have with 3 games in a row. And if you look at the players that are not 100CD, they either have a low DU or have played the most minutes on their teams for their position (f or D). I think this should be slightly adjusted as well.
As for the farm re-rates.....As I stated in a previous post, we have always had them so there is no reason we should turn them off. Fortunately we have the luxury of having settings for this, unlike the last sim where it was just On/Off. Quickly browsing through I have not seen many changes, and the changes I have seen are ever so slight. I would like to move this from "Very Low" to "Low".
So before I go tweaking things, I just wanted to get some opinions on everything above.
