Okay, so you know we vote on trades, but what are the real responsibilities of this?
1: Make sure the trade is not lop-sided. a: Figure out which team is getting the worse end of the deal (some deals may be 50/50). b: From the side of the "losing" team, ask yourself a simple question. Would you do this trade? If the answer is "Hell NO!" Then you should vote rejected. c: How far apart is the deal? Is one team losing by a considerable amount, they may have simply been talked into a bad deal, if the deal seems way too far apart to seem logical, you should vote rejected. d: If the trade seems solid with understandable benefits for each club, you should pass the trade.
2: Help insure parity a: Part of this is making sure 1 team does not get so out of control as to prevent the rest of the league from being able to have fun being competitive. We all want to win, but if only 1 person is winning, that is something you should take into consideration when viewing their trades. b: This does NOT mean you reject all trades by the best team in the league, it simply means the best team in the league needs a more focused eye to make sure the league retains parity.
Remember that if your trade is rejected, all it means is the deal needs to be adjusted to make it more fair (it often isn't much), I'm sure in 95% of the cases, the team winning the deal in a rejection case knows they are winning the deal by a large margin. They shouldn't be surprised to see the deal be rejected.
