More details later San Jose's GM reportedly felt sick when he sent in the deal, but said it was far from a bad deal for his club and was what the Shark's needed to ensure they stay competitive for years to come.

hmm.. i must say .. im wondering what this deal may include, and what the price is for a current superstar in the jghl... no doubt, this deal will set the tone for other deals of this nature.
Any speculation to where Thornton might have been moved to?? any inside sources?
Did you have to twist his arm to get him out of that no trade clause??

You'll have to wait until Gavin signs on... he didn't come cheap but I don't think either side is disapointed with the trade.

Just look at it this way... at least he's not going to Calgary check the trade board. To San Jose: Shea Weber, Corey Perry, Matt Niskanen and Michael Frolik To Buffalo: Joe Thornton and Chris Clark
