If it was not sent in then it is not official. It's happened to me before, there is nothing you can really do about someone changing their mind

Made the deal a month ago, or so, via handshake. Tryin to help him afford things at present, as he has run into salary probs, and he claims i'm pushin him for deal, so it must be bad and he now has better offers.

WOW!!!
I never said I was not doing it... Just said I had to think about it, and make sure I was doing the right thing for my team...
Finished off by saying I would keep you posted...
Just so you know... So far, everyone that has come up with an offer for that said player, have all been turned down...

I had handshake deals to only to lose for one reason or another. I don't do handshake deals for most part because like it was said if not sent in by both GMs then it is not a trade and this happens alot more then a month ago handshake. Deals got changed minutes after we agreed and I sent to only hear that it was not sent. It is the way it is and knowing that can happen is OK for me.....

A GM has a right to pull out of a "hand shake" deal at any time IMO. I don't think less of a GM that does it.

I guess I'm just old fashioned. I thought a handshake meant something. No more handshake deals for me.

loll there's nothing you can do about Handshake deals Ray, you cant force him to make the deal. Now, to be honest... it happened to be me earlier in the offseason, but I understand that they arent official and that's why i hate discussing trades before we're allowed to put them in. You're just going off of an assumption until the deal goes through (especially if other deals are riding on one deal)..
Tough stuff.... but unless the trade is sent in, unfortunately they do have the right to change their mind
