I passed it because I don't think Vancouver's 2nd will be late.

No reason to reject this trade guys, it's a fair one, just not a good one by the Jets at this point, maybe he has plans for that 2nd which looks to be as good as a late NHL 1st, nice deal for the Ducks, who would like to make the playoffs.

Preds gave up a lot but lineup will be stronger than ever now. Will be really tough to beat for anyone come playoffs.

I like this trade for the Rangers trying to get into the playoff picture. That 2014 pick could be anywhere.

Nice pick-up, Adam. He looks like a good fit on your team. I was thinkin about him, but didn't like his EN, I don't think that will hurt you with the D you have.

Was that the first ever 3-way trade?

I thought it was a fair price to pay for him. When plugged in he'll only see the 4th D unit and PP time to keep others fresh, so his EN didn't really worry me much

Anyone else think the Marleau trade is an absolute steal for Florida? Sure Marleau is overpaid at 10 mil, and has been on a decline for the past few seasons, but I just don't see anything of significant value going back. Rodin can't produce in the AHL, and Scrivens has struggled and is still only a backup prospect.

And now the Oilers, the real Oilers trade for Fistric? Give him back Gavin, those are the rules

Not high on Rodin, but Scrivens seems solid, looks like he's been starting in the AHL this year and has good numbers. Goalies are weird like that, top prospects wash out and wash outs turn it around and make it. Marleau's contract is fairly brutal, thats 2 years at 10m, so unless he blows it away in this 48 games, his re-rate for next year could be even worse. I think Graham (NYR) could have gotten more if he held out to the deadline as I mentioned to him, but I guess he wanted to pull that trigger. PS: Hell no, Fistric is ALL MINE, mwahahahaha

It is really difficult to trade 10 million dollar contacts, especially multi-year ones. Guys like Marleau just don't have much value, despite pretty decent ratings.
