Garnet Exelby - Christian Backman
Brian Campbell - Sergei Fedorov
You can either write out your roster in this thread or PM me it.
Makes a lot of the leg work for me easier having the rosters.
Then I should be done with an awesome season write up
This is an example of how each team will look like, last season I did this for another league I was in.
(projected roster. Players in bold are the ones I have done projections for).
Alexandre Ovechkin - Jason Arnott - Anson Carter
Martin Rucinsky - Victor Kozlov - Mike Greir
Brian Sutherby - RJ Umberger - Marcus Nilson
Jonathen Sim - David Legwand - Aran Asham
Sergei Zubov - Willie Mitchelle
Joe Corvo - Aaran Miller
Darryl Sydor - Stephan Robidas
Christabal Huet
Ilya Bryzgalov
Ovechkin is the best winger in the league. He leads by example an plays the power forward game to perfection, he will lead the Lightning to a playoff spot. Arnott is a strong pivot that is capable of putting up a point a game while Carter may hit 30 goals playing on that line. The secondary offense will consist of Umberger,Sutherby,Rucinsky and Kozlov but another 2 forwards will be more then welcome in this regard. No surprises here what you see is what you get.
Zubov defies age at 37 years old he is one of the best offensive defensemen in the league. He will help lead the transition offense and put up tons of points. Corvo will contribute some secondary offense from the blueline while Mitchelle and Miller bring a defense presence. The defense will need to add another stay at home type defenseman by the end of the season. Huet is an above average goalie that will have some good numbers for the Bolts and be the number one until Bryzgalov can take over.
Franchise Player: Alexander Ovechkin is the most exciting winger to enter the NHL since Pavel Bure. He can do it all, score goals with a strong shot or crash the net and bang one home. He is the franchise for the Bolts.
Breakout player: Jason Arnott only had 8 goals and 30 points last season for the Sabres. This year he walks into a situation where he will be the number 1 center and play with Ovechkin. A monster season is possible.
Donโt Underrate: Martin Rucinsky did not have the greatest of years last season but managed to obtain 9 goals and 33 points on the year. He has more left in the tank, expect a bounce back season as he gets close to 55 points.
Donโt Overrate: Darryl Sydor broke out with 48 points a year ago, he wont come close to that this season. He will take a few steps back and have trouble cracking 20 points.
Projections
Alexander Ovechkin (55g 54a 109pts)
Jason Arnott (36g 45a 81pts)
Anson Carter (34g 29a 63pts)
Sergei Zubov (18g 44a 62pts)
Martin Rucinsky (15g 32a 47pts)
Joe Corvo (15g 24a 39pts)
Figure it will generate discussion prior to the start of the season, and it's fun doing it.
