Hahah - thanks Monty! I definitely have my hits and misses. Rely on my colleagues at THW (and other contacts) more and more recently, to be honest. Only so much time to spread myself around, but still try and keep abreast on prospect happenings as much as possible and still head to the rink when I can.

If the Flames take Nylander (especially with PLD available) I may quit hockey altogether.

I do believe, in all likeliehood PLD goes Top 5, so won't be there for the Flames in any event. Like PLD, but personally like the other lads in this wide range a tad more.

I trust the "braintrust" in Edmonton to eff things up even if they are handed McDavid so no worries for me there. I would say that 50% of my hate for Nylander is based on his father and the other 50% is seeing him play as soft as butter like his father did while in Calgary. I fully expect Nylander to have more SEL games than NHL games by 2030. But again a lot of that may be biased by my complete hatred of his father.

Oh - there's also this! NHL Central Scouting’s Final Rankings Combined 4 lists. Aggregated. By THW's E-Mac "Every year NHL Central Scouting produces a segregated set of rankings at mid-season as well as their final rankings. Four lists are produced in the following categories: North American Skaters International Skaters North American Goalies International Goalies These lists make the job easier for Central Scouting but they are limited in terms of where a respective prospect ranks across the lists. Therefore, each year I combine the four lists into one to obtain a better understanding of where Central Scouting is ranking the players overall." LINK to full combined rankings - view on the web or your device, in downloadable spreadsheet and PDF formats. thehockeywriters.com/nhl-central-scoutings-final-rankings-combined-2/HFB thread here: hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?t=2081875
