I thought that Carolina could have gotten more for Skinner; but kudos to Buffalo for getting it done.
With that trade and with O'Reiley trade, plus drafting Dahlin, Buffalo has gotten better, and should be competing for a WC spot this coming season.
The day that the Sens made Dorion their GM, marked the end/demise of that team; because now they had a GM that would not stand up to the Owner.
The best thing that can happen now would be for the team to be crash and burn, loose all 3 of Karlsson, Duchene and Stone for nothing, and Melnik being forced to sell.
I also think that with the lack of deals, for a #1 C, made by MB in Montreal, will eventually cost him his job this season. He seems more content of trading for wingers and having play C.
Not to surprised by the Calgary move; basically the GM going out to get 2 players that the coach had recently coached and had confidence in them. Good young players will only make them better.
I suspect that between now and the start of the season, that there will be a couple more deals made, probably even a shocker...
Just my 2 cents
