Iām excited about my team this year, but we are far from done this offseason. I do wish I could fast forward and just have Dahlin now though... lol This didn't age well.

Dahlin pointless in 3, Svech with 4 in 4... What are the chances we see a flip flop in the J? *gets on his knees and prays* Lawl, none He doesn't have any points (yet), but he's playing very well, the points will come.

I'm pretty happy with Elias Pettersson's start this season, sure looks like he belongs and fits right in

I think you could make the argument that Sved could go before Dahlin.. but it's not going to happen. I remember when the fail for nail thing was happening and I kept thinking.. I really don't think this guys the best player in this draft. Easy to say when you're not the guy drafting first overall... a JGHL GM that goes against the grain with the first overall pick would have to have BIG BALLS.

I wonder whether thats ever happened actually? It did! In 2014. The 1st overall actually went 3rd overall! 1 Los Angeles Kings Sam Reinhart 2 Los Angeles Kings (Colorado Avalanche) Leon Draisaitl 3 Washington Capitals Aaron Ekblad Looking back that draft does not look like a good one...

A large portion of those first round guys are players.. but there are no real standout superstars. Reinhart turned out to be a complete bust though. Interesting... Dylan Larkin grabbed at 22!

Reinhart is a career 0.56ppg player on a forever rebuilding Sabres team, he's definitely not a bust lol. Bennett and Dal Colle on the other hand..

Damn that's a lot of good-great prospects heading to Detroit. That said, I still wouldn't have moved Vasi. In a league where goalies are constantly turned over, 23 year old vezina level guy locked in on a great deal is someone to keep. But that is a lot of good prospects.

I learned the hard way when I lost Fleury and Allen and had to overspend on Rinne to make sure I had a halfway decent goalie on my team. Hunter got a good return, and has Thatcher in the system, but I'd rather have too many goalies than not enough. Especially with Vasi.

Calgary has opened the flood gates, now we're gonna have wave of "process later" trades, lol.

We are currently on day-88 of the season. The trade deadline is on day-140, the cap increases on day-133, 45-days from now.
Not to sound like a dick, but I'm not keeping track of all these trades for the next month and a half so I'm going to pull them. Please re-submit at the appropriate time.

Brain freeze. (I blame it on NHL Trade Deadline fever and the fact that NHL Flames GM didn't land any big fish at the deadline {though also glad he didn't give up key young players for a rental})
