Everyone please send positive energy our way. Regardless how you feel about Toronto as a city, the Leafs, or basketball, this is huge for all of Canada. If you're Canadian, come aboard and be a Raps fan for the next few weeks if you're not already. If you're American, why on earth would you be a Warriors fan let's face it. Go Raptors!

Go Warriors Go!
I am Canadian and the fake advertising of the Raptors as Canada's team or this being a big Canadian sports moment drives me nuts.
Really I am hoping for the series to be over in 4 either way so I dont have to have my favorite sports shows ruined by basketball talk but I think a Warriors sweep will get the TO homers to shut up real quick about the Raptors while a Raptors win means we likely never hear the end of it and how Kawhi is the greatest human to ever live in the history of anything.
But if they do fluke out a win a small part of me will be happy for you Eug.

Though the Warriors will likely smash them, I'm in on the We The North. I love Steph Curry too (minus the over the top religious stuff occasionally, no offense if you are religious), so will just enjoy watching these Finals with no expectations. Even minus Durant the Warriors are super tough to match up against. Kawhi is a beast. But who does he guard in this series? Everyone!? projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2019-nba-predictions/ (to be fair they also predicted Hilary would beat trump)

Last time seemed to work and thank you to all who sent positive energy; thank you to those that sent negative energy too! Let's do the same for tonight. Tough to call a game 2 must win but it kind of is against this team. Should be a barn burner

Sitting here after last night, and my feeling is absolute sickness. Not over the actual loss, or its heartbreaking way of having the last shot to win the title. It's from all the fan reactions that went down on the KD injury play and everything that's being circulated on the interweb - videos from the park, bars, viewing parties, just people cheering seeing KD going down. It's absolute trash, and makes me ashamed of this city and the "fans".
The dude clearly tore his achilles, and could be out for the next 12 months or worse. Fuck that, don't celebrate, even if it means an easier path the rest of the way. I was worried when KD was playing, but still looking forward to trying to beat their full lineup fair and square. Toronto fans showed the world the ugliness of yearning for a win at any cost. Sure people were drunk but it's no excuse to cheer, wave him goodbye as he gets carried off, or chanting "fuck KD". I'm ashamed of my city right now, and am seriously considering moving the JGHL franchise to Vegas for next season. No joke.

Kawhi is t he ultimate beast
Unsung hero: Fred VanTHREEt
We'd also like to thanks Kyle "Mr First Half" Lowry.
Tough finish for the defending champs but they made it super tough til the end.

Man i thought I just wanted it over but after seeing the disgusting behavior (and I am not talking about the KD taunting when injured I mean acting as though TO deserved this at all) from the Raptors fan and media this "win" for the Raptors is even more disgusting than I thought possible.
It is tough to want to be a fan of sports after watching that garbage and seeing a team handed a title 100% due to injuries from the other team.
This has been a god awful year in sports Tigger fluking out his BS win with help from the fans, Liverpool handed the CL title thanks to the refs, the Rams rolling over for the Pats and now this. Basically every team that represents everything that is wrong with sports won title that they did not deserve in any way.
I think I am going to step away from sports for awhile so if Jon needs to replace me I understand. It has been great being back in the league but after seeing this kind of garbage I am not sure I want to really spend time invested in sports anymore.

Orlando wasn't great, but Philly and the bucks were both healthy and championship contending teams. No asterixs on those series wins. And Durant being out certainly made the difference, bit there isn't a team in the NBA (or I'm history) that could beat the Durant warriors. And when we played their current Durant less team at full strength, we were just as good, if not slightly better than them. We weren't gifted a title by any stretch. When the dubs beat the cavs 5 years ago love and Kyrie were hurt. Should they have an asterisk too?
