I'm so excited for hockey to be back. Baseball literally puts me to sleep.

I'd rather stare at a blank wall than watch baseball. US Open tennis has been keeping me going the past few weeks. It's usually my favorite tourney to watch cause it's a sign that hockey is near. Serenity now

Baseball is less boring than Football though. I find Football the most boring sport in the world. 11 minutes of action in a 3 hour game.

Baserunning and fielding is athletic, battling less so, but still requires a mastery of hand-eye.

I played baseball in high school, and was a star left fielder (just kidding, was a bench warmer). Reflex and hand eye are definitely the key skills required. Sure it helps to be in peak physical shape, but it's not a must. The sport is centered around home runs and on base % now days, no one steals bases anymore. It always has been and always will be about dingers.

I also strangely loved Prince Fielder, he was one of my favorite players, especially when he played for the Tigers and would eat fans nachos mid game.

His dad Cecil was a great one too. And now Jays got Vladdy who's another one in the mold. Manny Ramirez also comes to mind. All these dudes are/were great and definitely enjoy their carbs lol
