So my mom recently bought a TCL Roku TV (TCL 50S425). Her husband is hard of hearing so he likes to wear headphones to watch TV, while my mom like to just hear through the TV speakers. The problem is that when headphones are plugged into the TV the sound on the TV speakers gets muted, this "function" is stated in the manual.
They are not tech savvy people, so without having to run some sort of weird setup with converters and splitters, does anyone know a way around this so he can use headphones while still having the sound from the TV speakers?

Seems like it only works on certain roku devices and the only other option I can find is somthing external like bluetooth headphones.

Yeah I saw that, but I can't seem to find that type of remote (with headphone jack) sold separately, and other stuff I read says the "hack" has been fixed. Thanks though!
