Last season: 101 PTS, 5th in Pacific, 9th overall in the JGHL. At a glance: Losing top point producer Paul Stasny to free agency and Dustin the Bull Moose Byfuglien on defence, the Oilers have worked on building their depth by adding players with a bit of grit and defensive responsibility. These additions were done with the hopes of improving their standing in the Pacific and moving beyond the first round of the playoffs for the first time since GM Orr took the reins. The addition of Zach Hyman and Tom Wilson hereby known as The J's version of the Bushwackers, the Oilers are hoping to play some heavy hockey and impose their game on the competition. Former Edmonton captain Mark Giordano returns to the fold via free agency as does Freddy Anderson (trade) to hopefully transition easily to the blue and orange and start the season off quick. Hopefully Freddy posts some familiar numbers this season as anything would be an improvement over Bob's up and down performance last season. Youngster Quinn Hughes is hoping to get his feet wet in the J but may move back and forth between the farm to ensure he gets enough playing time.
Its time to drop the puck!

Damn.
As if it wasn't already, The Battle of the Alberta got really real in the J!
Give us back our Gio! ; )
This team really seems to have a "will"/"wil" to win!
Why the hell did we trade you Rantanen a couple years back again!?!
Nice work, Bobby, well played.
