Well, a little minor setback as the guy who took over Vancouver has decided he can't be in the league So once again we need to find a GM for Vancouver or we'll have to delay the start of free agency. So if you know anyone then please have them shoot me an e-mail asap.......

Maybe like th announcements are done like seeing Congrats to Detroit over, maybe trade announcements should be put up, but really just check trades when you log in as an everyday thing. Not hard to do and only takes a second of your time!

I was thinking the other day about the problem of people making incorrect bids. (ie bidding over their cap room)
Would anyone be against making a penalty for such bids?
I was thinking if you make a bid that puts you over (unless you are put over because of another person's incorrect bid) you are barred from bidding for a day or two....
any thoughts?

I thunk that would be a bit harsh as it could cause them to lose out on a player that they were bidding on. I say, if it happens once let it go, if it happens twice then maybe do something.

im open to that too. I just think it takes soo much work for jon and gavin to unravel those bids, and we should really be keeping track of it ourselves anyway

Luckily you guys are pretty good at keeping track of your own salary, my father and dallas also keep and eye out for me from time to time. I don't recall ANYONE over bidding last FA, which was outstanding. If it becomes a problem, we'll put steps in place

Don't sweat it guys, there have been no mistakes for a few years. That post by Gavin in the ufa rules is pretty old. The only change is, if you are THE 1ST GM to light a player up with $ you need to bid accordingly as per new rule. Good Luck Boys!!
