Guys I have never seen such a pathetic game in my life. Finland is using there first two lines trying to get a jump on Canada and it worked. The Canadian defence........what can you say. Pronger has the opportunity to pulverize Koivu but instead elects to go after the puck..ridiculas. What was the result goal.
And Robyn Regher is having a very bad game so far. He looks very slow.
I never even seen Heatly, St. Louis Gagne on the ice. Frigging pathetic.

Not that I'm blaming Loungo, but Canada should have started Turco.
We keep trying to make moves that will never work. IE Bertuzzi trying to walk out front with one hand on his stick. Why even trying something like that?

For a team this talented to go two in a row without scoring, you know the explosion will be huge when they finally get one. Lots of goals still to come.

I'm watchin the Canada- Czech game, should be a good one- every player dressed with the exception of both back-up goalies is in the NHL- I'm pickin Canada to win, Nash will break their 2-gm scoring drought

Or are you referring to ex-NHLer Marty Turco. Is he the same guy as player of the month Marty Tucro?

He played better than Vokoun. The Wayne Gretzky with Ron McLean ten minute interview after the game was the funniest interview ever.

Bertuzzi takes an idiotic penatly and Canada goes down 1-0.
Pronger takes his third penatly of the game and ensures Canada can't come back.
The best team in the world sucks ass.

Hate to say it but i definately saw this coming. Canada didnt play well and they got what they deserved.
Regher, McCaeb, Draper, Doan. Why were they on the team? Terrible.
Phaneuf, Boyle maybe phillips, tanguay, spezza, stall.
Lets not even get started on McCabe. If he wins the norris then jocelyn thibault better be awarded the vezina. Its that retarded.

Doan was arguably Canada's best forward during the tourny...
Take off Bertuzzi, Draper, McCabe and Bouwmeester and replace them with Crosby, Staal, Phaneuf and Boyle.
As for why Regehr was on the team, try he was a key member in the World Cup win and is one of the NHLs best defensive defensemen. He played poorly, but so did Pronger, McCabe, Redden (invisible), and Foote.

Glad the Bertuzzi selection didn't come back to bite them in the ass. It's not his fault they went three games without scoring, but his undisciplined penalties killed them. In the preliminary games, he was nullifying PPs every time he went on the ice with a man advantage. The one today was inexcusable. Who stood out for Russia? Ovechkin. Is it six of the top nine NHL scorers are Canadians that weren't on the team? They built a team to win a World Cup, on small ice. Didn't play a full sixty minutes when it mattered. Sucked the ass.

McCabe had NO business to be there... Boyle and Hannan definitly should've been in these games and maybe Phaneuf... Doan was one of the better players this tourny... Nasher and Heats both had a tough tourny but you can't say they shouldn't have been there... In 2010 Canada should have a very strong team with Phaneuf, Crosby, Spezza, Nash and Staal all being 4 years better... they will be fine...
