Ya, I think it's kind of ridiculous that a lot of teams can play their goalies for 75+ games. On my team, Turco is on pace for about that. NHL teams don't play 3 days in a row or 4 games in 5 days, some of us would not have a prayer under those conditions if you make an adjustment. That's true, and yet we're still seeing goalies play almost every game in this league. That is very unrealistic. Even though our league tends to have less rest between games, it is clearly not causing most of our goalies to get tired. In fact, despite a more difficult schedule, our goalies play a lot more than their equivalents in the NHL. In other words, the fact that our league gets less rest, which you brought up, supports the idea that our goalies are not getting tired enough since the goalies still play every game. Unrealistic isn't necessarily bad, but it takes the back-up goalie factor completely out of our league, even though it is important in the NHL. I think forcing us to use back-ups would add another level of depth to this league. The problem is that the main factor the sim uses to determine CD is shots against. I don't like that... some goalies would tell you standing around and not getting many shots is worse than getting a lot of shots. Is there an option in the sim to switch the CD determination to GP Jon?

i think having a games played cap on goalies for NEXT season not based on anything is a good idea. It would be much more like the NHL where backup goalies matter alot until the playoffs, when they stop playing completly.
This way theres no ambiguity, and no tracking

That's a statement game right there. Took the top line 43 games to have an offensive explosion, glad it came against Pitt

We're playin a bit better of late, we still have our sights set on a top 4 spot in the East. Looks like we will be buyers at the trade deadline, 4-0-1 since Jackman trade. We'll rest up today and get ready for the home at home againest the Kings and the All-Star game over the weekend.

Wow, what a tough game today against Caps. 1-0 win in OT with 2 players getting game misconduct penalties. Rest of team came together and played great for the win. Tired team! Stafford did not even have one minute of playing time, got on ice and got an immediate slashing penalty and then next time on ice - got game misconduct - 0 minutes played.....

Managed 60 shots in 60 minutes last game. Where did that come from?

Pretty crazy game against Vancouver. Bryzgalov let in the first goal of the game in the SO after 5 shots.

Fourth fewest games played and I'm off until Saturday. Kind of worried for when my schedule starts to compress!

Just a heads up, because I see this too much. If you get an injury, it doesn't matter if that player is recovered by your next game, you still have to put him back in your line-up regardless or replace him. ALL Injuries go to the scratch list and will stay there unless you reinsert them back in your line-up, even after they may have recovered, this includes exhausted goalies. You can avoid most probs by checkin the transactions when you play to make sure you have no probs. Auto lines will fix your lines for you, and get you a strike as well. Just ask Kevin (Fla.) who managed to get one yesterday.
