David Perron was the guy i really wanted at 20...so i was a bit shocked to see him go right before i had a chance... thats why I took so long.. it came down to a few forwards...but at the end, i feel i made the right choice.. but time will tell appearantly Perron is the sleeper pick of this draft. he could be a solid offensive player if properly developed.

Look at who I took. TJ Brennan. Look at his picture. He looks ready to kill. Or be killed. I'm positive he will be a force in the NHL. As positive as Mother Theresa's AIDS test. That's right, I watched Entourage last night.

Some great picks in the 1st rnd imo (based on players potential & where they were drafted): -Oilers pick of David Perron...even though picked earlier then wehere he went in NHL, I think outstanding pick! Nice job Stef. -Brandon Sutter to Tbay @ 18th was grand theft! He's a gamer! -Penguins selecting Sam Gagner @ 4th - hard to consider a steal @ 4th, but I think he might eventually be best player from this draft when all is said & done! Flames almost took him 2nd overall. -Blackhawks pick of Michal Repik - not sure why he fell in the NHL version of the draft, but looks like Gavin got the guy quite a few GMs were looking to land...including myself!
Surprise pick of the 1st rnd: Oscar Moller by the Coyotes - I've read some good stuff about this Swede kid & went in the 1st quite a # of "expert" mock drafts...In this yr's crap shoot, he's definitely worth the shot...

moller isn't a sexy pick but will be a good player. i got to watch him a bit at the kings camp and looked really good. this draft is such a crap shoot it's hard to find any real for sure players. their are players that will be great when they get to the nhl but the question is will they play here? i'm just going by the golden rule of picking who i think will play in the nhl one day. either way i hop to walk away with 2-3 players that will play in the nhl.

I'm a big fan of Dallas' pick of Ryan McDonagh, actually surprised he didn't go higher. IMO the Best D-man in the draft.

www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/ryan_mcdonaghAlso: "The Canadiens were absolutely thrilled that the hulking blueliner from Minnesota fell into their laps with the 12th overall selection in the recent NHL entry draft. The club was so enamored with the 6'1, 200-pound blueliner that they made serious efforts to trade up in the draft to obtain him. While they weren't able to find a dance partner, they still walked away with the belle of the ball in their eyes. Described as the complete package on defense, McDonagh brings an element of power to his game both offensively and defensively. That said, the Habs are high - very, very high -- on the long-term potential that McDonagh has. They see him sliding very comfortably into a first pairing by way of talent, not necessity. Blessed with a solid shot and a physical presence, McDonagh will refine those skills for one season at the University of Wisconsin, but the club is so high on the potential of this young blueliner, his ascension to the professional ranks could come sooner rather than later." So yeah, I think hes that good

I think we're done with the 2nd round, so its list time for the 3rd round, right?
