Nice selection by Phoenix with Cherepanov...home run pick! Quite possibly most talented guy in the draft...Flames rumoured to have been close to selecting him at 6th overall, but in the end went Voracek who could also, when everything is said & done, turn out to be one of the best from this draft class.
The Penguins selection of Sam Gagne was a very good one as well. The Flames almost selected him 2nd overall!

only real concern on Alexei Cherepanov is the cuncussion he got in the super series but not enough to scare me away.

only real concern on Alexei Cherepanov is the cuncussion he got in the super series but not enough to scare me away. That and the fact that he can be lazy as hell! ;D Its a choice that makes a lot more sense to make in this type of league where if he doesn't turnout it doesn't hurt all that much and there are no fans to constantly remind you of that selection. I had 7 guys I wanted at the 8th spot and all 7 went before me so I can't say much negative about the GM's selections in front of mine.

VERY happy with Gagner, he'll be one of the elite picks from this draft for sure!

uhhhh this draft will last for ever! It seems to be going pretty fast compared to other years, but yes the first round will take forever.

First couple rounds always does take awhile, but I like having the time to research who is left myself.

I am very happy to get Karl Alzner, was wanting to get Gagner though. But since he went I had to go with the the 3rd best player in the draft.

David Perron was the guy i really wanted at 20...so i was a bit shocked to see him go right before i had a chance... thats why I took so long.. it came down to a few forwards...but at the end, i feel i made the right choice.. but time will tell
