I see a simple workaround that has to be addressed. I had my hook number and save percentage hook relatively low because I was tired of Rask Rasking and giving up too many goals. If he stunk early, yank him early. Start your backup and set his pull number at one goal.

I would not support a sub-70 max GP... if goalies in the NHL do it, I don't see why we shouldn't in this league.
You could also make it a bit more complicated. Perhaps basing the max GP on the OV or EN/DU rating.

We could make it that the back-up has to play a minimum number of minutes during the season - say somewhere between 800 and 900 - and a minimum number of starts. That would solve that problem.

They are proposing a maximum number of starts, I think, not a maximum number of games played. Goalies are going to enter games in relief as well as starting which will add to the games played.

I'm not in favour of having a minimum number of goals I have to leave my backup in for too.

67 I think is a good number, backups basically required for 15 games.
I had things set to pull my goalie quickly in the event he sucked that game as well like Darren.
That is kind of a problem with this rule if it can be so easily exploited with that goalie change numbersโฆ.

Last year nobody played over 70. In the NHLs history that is not normal though. Brodeur and Kiprusoff specifically!
I think the max should be 75 with increased fatigue settings.

I think the max should be 75 with increased fatigue settings. I just fear what it would do to lower EN goalies who can only play 30-35 games as it is, would it cut them down to 20-25? That's rough for a team who doesn't have an elite starter and swaps out goalies. Plus adjusting the fatigue settings is almost impossible to test. I'd couldn't just run a season real quick, I'd have to sim every single day and switch out goalies for every team (as if a GM was running it) to simulate what a regular GM would down and not run goalies down to 95CD, which is what would happen if I ran a test season.

Yes that is correct, but again, if you lower the fatigue settings you are going to hurt middle-level and lower EN goalies. Someone who can play 35 games might now only be able to play 25, which is not the objective.

It's still across the board though. Goalie's with low EN ratings must not have played very many games, I would think.
They have low EN ratings for a reason, so that they can't be overplayed, I'm thinkin. I'm not really arguing for one or the other, just tryin to help decide what is best.
