I think some might have but would guess that was a tiny minority and the much bigger reason he got booed is that he is a good player on the home teams main rival.
I think Toews would have got booed if he were the representative from the Hawks. Keith or Seabrook as well.
Evander Kane had similar accusations made against him and I doubt he would have been booed at all in Nashville if he were there for the Sabres since Buffalo is not a rival.

I assume unless you have seen numerous Hawk road gms, since day one of this season, you are not aware that this has been going on all season, ONLY when he touches the puck. By yesterday I was sick of it i guess.

Thats just it really, WHY were they booing him isn't totally clear. He did get chirped at by a fan at one point "no means no" but its unclear if that was a wide sentiment that day OR they were just booing him because he was Blackhawk.
If they wanna boo him for being a Blackhawk, fine, morons might have cost it for your 4 Nashville players whos team he was on, dummies, he even told you he was on your side.
If they wanna boo him for the rape shit, thats classless. Its a foregone conclusion that he didn't do anything wrong, there wasn't even evidence of sexual penetration between the two parties, just some around the neck kissing and touching, which if reports that night were true at the bar, probably happened AT the bar. The fact her friend refused to support her story, the fact her mom was caught lying about evidence bags...give me a break, there is little doubt that Kane was falsely accused, get the fuck over it and put your fedora away.
Fuck'em, we'll beat'em in the playoffs, AGAIN.

By yesterday I was sick of it i guess. The Hawks are on TV a lot so I have seen a number of their games and haven't noticed a ton of booing for Kane. I know that in rinks all over the league guys get booed all the time and more often than not it is the better guys and almost always rivals. Phaneuf got booed in Calgary when he returned with Toronto for having the audacity of being traded by the team. Was that classless? Considering I have seen countless players being booed with zero rape allegations it seems like a stretch to me to connect that incident to the booing. And if they want to boo him because of those allegations who cares? Its booing, guys have and will continue to get booed for much dumber reasons than that in all sports.

I guess like it or not, P Kane is not a very liked player outside of Chicago. I try to stay unbiased, but talking to many hockey friends/colleagues, right or wrong, this is the case at least at the moment. There's definitely no denying the talent. Heard one journalist talking about how analytics compare what he's currently doing to some of the greatest statistical seasons ever (only caught the tail end of the discussion on sports radio, so don't know how the comparison was done).

I didn't know Hawks fans were so over-dramatic lol. One of the best players in the league got booed by a division rivals fans, oh no! I've never seen anything like that in my life
