I'd recommend you try a 1-1-3 strategy for your top 2 lines, you have some big boys, let'em take the body and create turnovers. Sometimes I want to put all of my lines 0-0-5 and just see what goes down. It can work, its been done before by myself and others in the past, its not that crazy.

Anyone see Marchand's new trick? Punch a guy on his knees in the back of the head while no one is looking and skate away fast. This rat piece of shit will get what's coming to him one day. I never wish injury on anyone but this guy is less than human. My fantasy is to have prime Scott Stevens somehow come back, catch this rat with his head down coming through the middle, and level him so hard that all his rat teeth fall out. That or a sneaky running elbow to the head from Tie Domi. Or if all that fails, have Tom Wilson pummel him good. I shouldn't even call him a rat, seems like an insult to rats.

The ultimate outcome might be Tom Wilson going in for a blatantly blind-sided hit on Brad Marchand and they both spontaneously combust upon contact... Sacrifice to the hockey gods... (wanted to make a much more elaborate story around this but lack of sleep from coughing all night fogging my brain)

People can say what they want about Wilson but he doesn't come close to the piece of crap level of Marchand. Sure he's dirty, similar to Kadri, but I doubt he gets off on doing it. I feel like Marchand is the type of guy that gets off on it, he loves coming up with creative and shocking ways of being an absolute asshole on the ice. If you look at his rap sheet, it's a long list of offenses that range from dirty to obscene to deplorable.
I would take so much pleasure in watching Columbus take them out in 5 on their ice. Is there a less likable team in the league than the Bruins? From Marchand, the big giraffe, the annoying anthem singers, dumb fans, the "wooooo" after they score. I'm so bitter at the Leafs for constantly losing to them in 7, but let's hope Columbus gets the job done and sends these stupid idiots packing.

There are few players I'd ever wish this upon, but Marchand is one of them. I hope he takes an elbow to the head and is then laying on the ice doing the zombie arms, that would make me smile.

Different strokes for different folks but I don't get the Marchand hate at all.
I would say the Briuns or Blues are the only likable teams out there. I love Marchand, maybe because of how he bitch slapped the Sedin Sisters in the past or keeps embarrassing the pathetic Leafs, but he has a lifetime pass from me. I love watching him troll the Blue Jackets out there. Tom Wilson should have been kicked out of the league by now with all his cheap shots designed to seriously hurt guys.

Different strokes sure but don't get how you can "like" him or give him a pass for licking, kissing, kicking, sucker punching, or injuring people. Hell even graduated asshole Sean Avery thinks he's a bitch lol. And pathetic Leafs haha okay! Actually sure yes, we're kind of pathetic. Carry on..

The pathetic comment was a bit of a cheap shot but listening to TO media and reading a lot of the Leafs fans stuff online this season has made me very jaded against the team, its media and fans. Seeing them miss out on the 15 guaranteed Cups the fans and media had lined up for the next 15 years was pretty satisfying for me. Likewise, Canucks fans (and I use the term fan loosely as the majority of them were nowhere to be seen in the years prior to and after their cup run) around 2010 were the most obnoxious group of people, not just sports fans, the world has ever seen. It may not have been as apparent to folks out East but in Alberta it was unbearable so again to see their hopes dashed in large part because of Marchand gives him a special place in my heart. That clip of him punching the Sedin sister repeatedly is right up there with Lanny hoisting the Cup, Gretzky using Murphy as a decoy and Crosby scoring the golden goal as top hockey moments of my life. Plus this second round of the play-offs is awful. The teams left are awful. I think whoever wins is automatically the worst team to win the Cup in recent memory and if it isn't Boston, SJ or STL probably one of the worst teams of all time in any sport. Colorado, Colombus, NYI and Carolina are all bad teams. Not bad play-off teams just flat out garage hockey teams. So any life or interest that is brought into this round works for me. The Marchand highlights are the most hockey I have watched in the 2nd round. Outside of that I haven't watched a minute of actual gameplay because of how awful it is.

You probably SHOULD start watching, because you'd see these teams aren't remotely bad at all. Personally I hate Boston, I cheered for them when they took on Vancouver because of the Canuck/Hawks rivalry at the time, but otherwise, fuck the Bruins. I dunno how you can say St. Louis is bad, they are playing amazing hockey right now, my boy Robert Thomas looks like a 5 year veteran in his rookie season playoff appearance. This has probably been the most entertaining and interesting NHL playoffs in awhile, what bores the fuck out of me is the seeing the same 4-5 teams every year.

The Dallas/St.Louis series is probably going 7 games, they are such equal footing in that series.

Dayum Scott, you are jaded my man! I hear you on Leaf fans and media, can't stand both myself. Fans are ultimate bandwagon and those that come to games love to sit on their hands. I watch game action-only streams now days because of the verbal diarrhea that comes out from the sportsnet or tsn "pundits". They don't know shit - 100% picked Calgary over Colorado in the 1st round. Experts eh? They might as well make their predictions on the JGHL board.. I have to strongly disagree with you on the remaining teams. Garbage? Garage teams? I dunno man.. Most of the teams are young, fast, exciting, and fresh. I'm looking mainly at Avs, Canes, Blues, Jackets and Sharks as examples of teams that clearly deserve to be here. All have young, talented and exciting players on the up. Hell even Isles have shown flashes of whats to come (even if the house money is running out). Bruins are literally the only team I don't give a shit about and don't want to watch other than to see them lose. Do you prefer NBA flavored playoffs, where there's literally 2-3 teams max that have any chance to win? That's what I love about NHL, wildcards can actually hit a groove at the right time and win! I'd love to see the Canes or Bluejackets win a cup. Why not? It would be a great story. Canes don't give a shit about what anyone thinks of them or whether they "deserve" to be here. They're clearly having fun out there and winning. Have you seen Sebastian Aho, Teravainen or Jordan Staal in these playoffs? The dudes are lights out. Hell even Curtis Mac is a great story after being cut by Dubas over Sparks (dumb move). Long story short I think it's fresh and exciting. Happy for all remaining teams except Bruins, but let's hope they're down 3-1 after tonight

He said and I quote "Columbus will be out in 5 in the 2nd round", and that they didn't deserve to be there and that it was 100% on Tampa falling apart and has nothing to do with Columbus being any good, etc etc. No respect for a team that just swept the best team in the league, and he's wrong again of course. Sometimes he can be entertaining, usually when he's bashing on someone for a stupid head-hit, but generally I find him annoying as hell.

I used to watch Tim and Sid back in the day and enjoyed them in their Score days because they were fresh. Eventually they got too big, and inevitably, so did their heads. Sid thinks he's the coolest and funniest guy in sports, and thinks his "hot takes" are must see TV. I stopped listening and watching them a long time ago, he just got too annoying for me. The guy is clearly after Bob McCowan's throne eventually. Sportsnet overall is a joke you're right. I'm a tsn guy if anything, mostly on radio as I enjoy Landsberg & Collaiacovo during my morning drives, and the overdrive guys in the afternoon. Jamie McLennan is my favorite, love that guy. Even Hayes and O'Dog offer a much better perspective than any of those morons at Sportsnet.
