I guess i learned my lesson if the elias trade passes...I should have offered a 3rd round pick for pronger Pronger is a 71OV Defenseman.. probably the best one in the whole league. You're saying he is worth less than a 68OV Center? Tell you what then, Ill trade you straight up Elias for Pronger if my trade passes. Deal? UFA no contract - bottom line Jim

UFA no contract - bottom line Jim Yes but saying Pronger is only worth a 3rd because I got Elias/Boucher for two 2nds is absurd. I agree and voted to pass your trade. this was a fairer deal for expensive ufa's then the Pronger deal. JMO and not intended to insult anyone.

So you believe that Buff gav up too much, but isn't it what the market dictates, as there was no dman at Prongers level available, so one much pay what market calls for.......JMHO.....Isles should get all he can, just like if you really wanted to move Gaborik, you should get maximun amount the market bares for you......and I would hope you get.......

Since we can't all win the Cup- how many guys gave up talent and high picks for players worthless to them, they are all already in the playoffs, imo the only spot left between 2 teams is the East 8 spot- again jmo It will for sure be exciting though, and I guess some will cry about their sore asshole when they are headed for the Golf coarse.

for the record, i voted no on the elias deal. i got a 1st, grabner and tj hensick when i traded him, though he did have a 2 year contract back then, but still.. 2 2nd rounders and 2 retired guys aint enough for 2 top line players, UFA or not.

Good point LOL

Exactly Eug! while i dont think this is a good trade as well, i dont think that basing this on your last deal makes any sense. When you traded elias it was assummed that he was going to be a UFA resign, and wasnt going to be gone in .5 years.
