So if the new ratings make these trades lopside, there's no going back, right?

Well, the new ratings are being done by the same guy, so the general way he does his ratings should apply as normal. What I mean by that is, he tends to raise and lower under the same guidelines every year, I doubt it'll change much, we just don't have the standard "OV" anymore. And to answer the question, no

The Flames deal was pretty close to me rejecting it but I believe that GMs should be able to make the deals they want.
Seems like an AMAZING deal for the Flames though.

Certainly wouldn't be the first time the flames pulled out an amazing deal

The Flames are just going to keep getting better if the GMs don't stop falling for his tricks lol. I passed it, but was definatly on the edge. Hopefully Lidstrom can shut down Nash next year can anyone tell me what the vote is at for my deal? I can't see it unless i vote.

No joke, as good a GM as Calgary is, I'd like to see someone ELSE win a cup As for the vote question, thats proven to be a good side effect of this new system, although people won't have time to restructure a deal during voting if its being rejected (don't worry, you're fine), it'll cut down on the "omg, wtf, why are you voting no??" stuff while the trade is still in the voting process, which I like ;D

yeah... i agree with chicago.. on the good effect of the hiding poll results.. as far as calgary's concerned......this is why hes in the middle of creating a dynasty.. hes maneuvering to get what he needs..... and he has the assets to deal.. simple as that....

Wow, that Toronto/Vancouver trade seems way off! Maybe I'm missing something here, but how can a 1 year (UFA)/6mil player command a 1st round pick and two very, very nice prospects? I could see maybe a 1st, but then throw in Hensick and Grabner

I think picks and prospects can be extremely over rated. Any of those players would be lucky to turn out the way Elias did.
