Trade count on CGY-Canes trade? 7-2, yes Thanks - thought it was a no-brainer, but never know sometimes with my trades...lol I really think Kev bested me on this one, but wanted J-Will's solid 2-way ratings for my 3rd line

I voted no on the Elias deal. Vancouver got virtually nothing for two quality rental players.

Hey, when the 1st Overall pick is equal to Frolov, you can't expect rental players to be expensive.

value is subjective, but there is such a thing as general consensus amongst hockey minds.. i hate to drag it on any longer, but since it was mentioned, i bet you any money that if we surveyed 100 gms (past and present), 99 of them would prefer the 1st overall (even a top 3 pick in the upcoming draft) over frolov. that, is called general consensus.

I know we have some NFL fans here and you will be familiar with the draft value chart. Every position in the draft has a point value assigned to it. Don't know how well it correlates to us, or how you can compare it to actual players, but it's interesting nonetheless. sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2410670There is a great article in the 2008 Football Prospectus book, and you may be able to find it on footballoutsiders.com.

I guess I'm the 1 out of 100. Seems a litte bit exaggerated Leafs.

Datsyuk (probably knows a thing or 2 about hockey and skill): He calls Frolo one of the most under-rated guys in the league. sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Puck-Daddy-chats-with-Pavel-Datsyuk-Part-1-Def?urn=nhl,141954&cp=9 Boom - outta here!

..... i was a little more pissed at the randy robataille affair.... if both sides that completed this frolov deal are content, then it is what it is....its not like frolov isnt an impact player....sure hes not a poing per game guy,b ut hes still a guy that the GM that traded for him values.. so lets just let it be..
